Experienced educator for Reggio Emilia inspired institution in Ry

Permanent full-time teaching position as of January 1, 2027 at Børnegården Lynghoved.

We are a children’s house under the Ry day care service, seeking a creative and engaging colleague to work with. The position is currently in the kindergarten, but you should also be able to see yourself working in our nursery.

In Børnegården Lynghoved we have 60 kindergarten children and 34 nursery children, distributed over two houses. We work with age-segregated groups and the staff rotate every year or every other year between the groups. In this way we try to achieve a large community for the entire institution, which facilitates knowledge sharing and a really good understanding of each other and each other’s working situations.

We also work value-based and from a view of humanity inspired by the philosophy of Reggio Emilia, where relationships between people are in focus. We believe that children and adults have the right to participate and be co-creators in their own learning processes. This means that we pay attention to what occupies the children and that we let ourselves be inspired by them when we work on projects.

We thus work a lot with our curiosity and wonder together with the children and rarely follow a planned path from project start to finish. Here there is room for all that may not previously have seen the light of day. We also pay attention to interior design and believe that the environment has a great impact on all of our well-being.

In Børnegården Lynghoved we have an open dialogue with the parents, where small talk, presence and engagement in the family’s life are a supportive prerequisite for our professional work. With us, the whole family starts in the institution, not just the child. Therefore we encourage parents to be here and have the opportunity to contribute to their child’s life in the institution.

In the staff group we work purposefully with our professionalism and a desire that we become more skilled together. We each take personal responsibility for our choices and are not afraid to make mistakes from which we can learn. We also use coaching/sparring with each other in the development of our professionalism. About three times a year we work in pedagogical network groups, where educators and assistants each have a professional reflection space. Professional discussions also have plenty of space at staff meetings … and yes, we simply get along well with each other, in all our differences.
