About the job
The HR Partner Section at the Ministry of Defence's Materiel- and Procurement Agency (FMI) is seeking a colleague focused on strengthening both the implementation and operation of strategic workforce planning.
Insight and planning of the workforce are important so that we can solve future tasks in the Defence effectively. We therefore seek a colleague who will contribute to ensuring that FMI has sufficient and competent staff both now and in the future.
About us
The HR Partner Section is organizationally part of the Center for Careers and HR Advisory in the Personnel Command, but we operate as an advanced satellite geographically at FMI. We are anchored in the local HR department, which includes a number of other sections with other HR tasks.
The section participates in close daily cooperation with the entire HR department at FMI, with the aim of contributing to the best possible overall HR solution. We have a strategic role in the department, and among other things our task is to execute and link the right initiatives to the business strategies. We consist of 11 employees, a manager, 4 HR partners, 5 career counselors and 1 student assistant. We are primarily civilian staff, but we do have one military colleague. With us there is free space for new perspectives, and it is important to us that work is challenging and developmental.
About the position
FMI's capacity strategy must support strategic workforce planning so that we can estimate and act on the organization’s future competence needs based on data. This requires structured insight into current and expected tasks, critical competences, employee composition, and other relevant factors as a basis for managerial decisions and prioritizations.
The task has high priority and will be one of the position's primary main tasks. In addition, you can expect to contribute to:
- Becoming part of the section's Team payroll in connection with executing the annual collective payroll process for both employees and managers (coordination, planning, technical setup in IT systems, preparations for the payroll selection, preparatory manager briefings, etc.)
- Becoming part of the section's Team management evaluation, where you contribute to the preparation, conduct and follow-up of the management evaluation (every 2 years)
- Handling unforeseen tasks and analyses with short notice
- Contribute to the development of HR processes and policy
- To the extent necessary, contribute to supporting tasks arising from performing the secretariat function for FMI cooperation councils.
- Support the career counselors in implementing the corporation’s new dialogue-based staffing and career system.
About you
We are looking for an experienced academic with a strong command of the analytical discipline. You must have the ability, and be motivated to, contribute to both the development, implementation and operation of the capacity strategy covering both strategic workforce planning and the use of job family architecture.
You must be able to handle data, structure, analyze and prepare decision proposals, but also be in close contact with the organization, including obtaining data and information through dialogue with managers and employees.
You are proactive, take initiative, are self-driven – but also a good and empathetic colleague. Our section engages in close dialogue with managers at all levels, employees, and external partners, which places demands on your communication skills as well as your ability to build relationships and networks.
We offer
We offer you an informal everyday life in an open office environment, where you together with your close colleagues become part of a strong, competent and helpful community. In the HR Partner Section we value professional sparring, good humor and a colleague who lends a hand when needed.
You will have a varied daily routine with broad contact with both managers and employees, the opportunity to bring your own strengths into play and flexibility in the organization of work, including the possibility of remote work.
You will be employed either as a trainee (fuldmægtig) or as a specialist consultant based on assessed experience and competencies.
Employment terms
The employment is in accordance with the current collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and several academic organizations for academics in the state (Academics Agreement).
Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is the possibility of negotiation of a supplement. There is a employer-financed pension scheme attached to the position.
The workplace is in Ballerup.
As an employee within the Ministry of Defence, you are subject to certain special terms. You must, among other things, be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance throughout the employment.
As an employee you are obliged to perform duties outside the country’s borders, including at units in international operations with a view to participating in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacebuilding, humanitarian and other similar operations.

About the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization
The Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (FMI) is Denmark’s central authority for the armed forces’ and emergency services’ materials, IT and cybersecurity in peace, crisis and war. We work to ensure that the entire defense is equipped, updated and operational — in a time when the demands for speed and combat capability have never been greater. It is us who procure, operate and dispose of materiel and IT for the Army, Navy, Air Force and the rest of the Defence Ministry’s group.
It is our IT staff who daily help mitigate the cyberattacks the group is exposed to. We are a diverse organization with about 2,500 employees — civilians and military — spread across the entire Kingdom.
