Experienced project engineer for automation – Svendborg

About the position

As a project engineer at Init you will be a central part of the development and implementation of tailor-made automation solutions for our customers. You will work with projects of varying sizes and complexities and follow them all the way from the initial technical clarifications to commissioning and handover.

We are looking for a profile who both has the technical weight to program and troubleshoot complex PLC solutions – and the practical understanding that also makes you willing to participate in on-site work when tests are performed, faults are found or the plant is commissioned/run-in.

Your primary tasks will include, among others

• Design, programming and implementation of PLC-based automation solutions in Siemens TIA Portal
• Troubleshooting, maintenance and optimization of existing automation plants
• Commissioning, testing and documentation of plants at customers
• Technical dialogue and close collaboration with customers, colleagues and suppliers
• Participation in projects within, among other things, industry, energy and utilities
• Contributing to the development of robust, reliable and user-friendly solutions

The position involves travel for projects and commissioning.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have at least five years of experience with automation projects and PLC programming – and preferably in Siemens TIA Portal. You have a practical and solution-oriented approach to your work and are used to taking responsibility for both technical details and the overall task.

You preferably have an electrical engineering background, for example as

• Automation technologist
• Automation technician
• Mechanical engineer
• Engineer
• Electrician
• Or another relevant technical education and practical experience

In addition, we would like you to

• Have solid experience with PLC programming in Siemens TIA Portal
• Have knowledge of SCADA solutions – it is an advantage but not a requirement
• Have practical experience from installation, assembly, switchboard, field equipment or commissioning
• Be able to work independently and maintain an overview in complex projects
• Thrive with both office work, customer dialogue and hands-on tasks at the plant
• Communicate well in Danish and English
• Be a team player who is happy to share knowledge and brainstorm with colleagues
