Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality seeks an experienced social worker for 37 hours per week for the Children's and Youth Homes Fjelleruphus and Damtoften.

You will as an employee have an obvious opportunity, together with the management and a professionally capable and curious colleague group, to steer the future treatment work for the children at Fjelleruphus and Damtoften. You will become the coordinating linchpin in the interdisciplinary and treatment-related collaboration in close collaboration with your social worker colleague, who has the same function as you.

The position is with commencement on 1 December or as soon as possible. It is a permanent position of 37 hours per week. You will be connected as an internal advisor at Fjelleruphus.

• Qualify status reports, notices and other written material so that it is usable for the social workers in the children’s municipalities. This includes ensuring that the involvement of the children is described in the written material delivered to the municipalities. cf. Child Act.

Fjelleruphus and Damtoften are an integrated part of the Children and Family Department in Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality. We are 2 overnight facilities with space for 23 children and youths with behavioral and attachment disorders. It is children and youths who for various reasons cannot live at home or with a foster family.

It is important to us that you are passionate about the target group and can see yourself in a daily life where it can at times be fast-paced, and things can be unpredictable, but where there is also room for fun, laughter and collegial community.

You are a dedicated and interested colleague who can work in a dialogical manner and with an affirming approach. You can work independently and articulate yourself both orally and in writing. You have experience as a social worker from the 24-hour care sector with placed children and youths.

You will have to participate in

• Staff meetings
• Drafting contracts/packages to municipalities (possibly extra support).
• Support the collaboration with placing municipalities. Support the good collaboration across sectors. Including being involved in creating an understanding of what can be done according to the Child Act and communicating this to the staff group. In this way, especially new employees are upskilled to understand what is possible in social legislation.
• Support that we work with a systemic approach to connections and transitions in the child’s life.
• Support ensuring involvement of the child, the child’s parents and network in collaboration with the placing municipality and the pedagogical staff.
• Support family work.
• Plan admission meetings, treatment conferences, follow-up meetings in accordance with applicable law.
• Communicate to the pedagogical staff what constitutes legal use of force.
• Ensure that all use-of-force forms are filled out and carried out correctly and sent to the Social Supervisory Authority and the placing municipalities on time.
• Support work to involve children and support the procedural rights in voluntary and coercive placements together with the placing municipality.
• Support management in various descriptions regarding the children and youth homes.
• Ensure written material sent out of the house and to be journalized at the placing municipality.
• Take minutes at treatment conferences.
• Ensure that we are always up-to-date with applicable law in the field.
