Facilities and Operations Technician for Pharma Nord in Vojens - a technical all-rounder for production

Are you the type who checks all the way around when something isn’t working? And do you have a broad technical understanding? On behalf of Pharma Nord, Career | a JKS company is seeking a supply and operations technician who will ensure continuous and stable operation of the technical installations around production in Vojens – from compressed air, cooling and heating to ventilation, CTS and climate control.

You keep the production technicalities running

A stable production requires more than functioning production machines. Compressed air, ventilation, temperature, cooling, heating and other technical utilities must also operate – all the time.

As a supply and operations technician you will therefore have a broad role with responsibility for operation, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of the technical installations around production.

You will become a bit of a technical jack-of-all-trades. If the temperature in a production area, for example, moves in the wrong direction, your troubleshooting does not necessarily stop at the temperature sensor. You check all the way around and investigate ventilation, CTS, cooling, valves, control and other installations until the cause is found.

Your key areas of responsibility and tasks will be

• ensure efficient operation, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of compressed air systems, compressors, cooling systems, heating and piping
• work with CTS, ventilation, climate control and climate rooms
• troubleshoot controllers, relays, sensors, meters and other regulation equipment
• perform or coordinate calibrations and document inspection and maintenance
• work with energy optimization, including opportunities for reusing surplus heat
• contribute to development, optimization and improvement of the technical installations.

You will also participate in ensuring that relevant plants are operated and maintained according to applicable rules and requirements, including the PED regulations for pressure equipment.

Your expertise and personality - a curious technical jack-of-all-trades

Your educational background can vary. You could for example be an industrial electrician, automation technician, refrigeration technician, ventilation technician or marine engineer – or you may have built up a similarly broad technical understanding through practical experience.

We are not looking for a specialist who can do everything. We are looking for a curious and practically oriented technician who wants to learn new areas and figure out how things fit together.

You work independently, take responsibility and thrive in a daily routine where planned tasks can be interrupted by something requiring your attention here and now.

From firefighting to improvements

An important part of the role is to respond when technical challenges may affect production. You address the issue where the need is greatest and follow the problem all the way around with one clear goal: that production can continue to run stably and safely.

But the job isn’t only about firefighting. You also need to consider how the need for it can be reduced.

Where can operation be made more stable? Can energy consumption be reduced? Can surplus heat be recycled? And are there technical changes that can make the plants more efficient while also reducing the risk of downtime?

You will thus have the opportunity to work hands-on with daily operations and contribute to the development and improvement of technical solutions.

Technology in a production with high demands

As you work around Pharma Nord’s production of dietary supplements and medicines, quality, hygiene and documentation are a natural part of everyday life.

It requires that you can combine your practical and solution-oriented approach with respect for procedures and documentation requirements. When you perform maintenance, changes or repairs, it must therefore be done with attention to both the technical solution and the requirements that apply in a production environment.
