About the job
Do you want to help create the circular solutions of the future in Odder?
DOMI Bolig is seeking a community coordinator for The Circular Community in Odder with expected start on January 4, 2027.
Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit, a sense for opportunities and the ability to bring people together around new ideas? Are you motivated by building something from scratch, creating partnerships and turning good ideas into concrete action?
Then you may be our new community coordinator.
About The Circular Community
The Circular Community is one of 11 projects that have received support from VELUX FONDEN's "New solutions with democratic sustainability" .
DOMI Bolig, Renosyd and Odder Municipality will together establish a local gathering point where citizens, associations, businesses and public actors can develop and test new circular solutions.
The goal is to make reuse, repair and resource preservation more accessible and to create new opportunities for community, employment and active participation in the green transition.
The project is not only about establishing a house with activities but also about developing strong partnerships and a model where local initiatives can live on after the project period.
Your role – from idea to action
As a community coordinator you will be a central driving force in developing and operating The Circular Community.
You should be able to see the big opportunities, create connections between people and organizations and translate ideas into action. At the same time, you should thrive with the practical day-to-day of a newly started project, where it also concerns opening the house, welcoming visitors, engaging volunteers and ensuring that there is coffee on the pot and light in the windows.
Your main tasks will be to
- Develop partnerships with civil society, business, municipality and housing organization.
- Support local initiatives and engage citizens, associations and volunteers.
- Create new paths to employment through circular activities and collaborations.
- Coordinate activities and ensure the daily operation of the house together with the project's partners.
- Work on organization, fundraising and long-term anchoring of the project.
In other words, you should both be able to lift your eyes to the horizon and be part of the engine room. Here, a cup of coffee can be the start of a new community – or a new partnership.
Who are you?
We imagine that you have experience with entrepreneurship, project development, employment and establishing new collaborations. Your professional background is less important than your ability to achieve results together with others.
We particularly emphasize that you
- Have an entrepreneurial spirit, can execute and translate ideas into action.
- Can combine development work with practical operations.
- Are outgoing, proactive and good at creating relationships.
- Have experience with volunteering, civil society or cross-sector collaborations.
- Have an interest in circular economy and a view for employment opportunities.
- As an inspirer and a beacon, you can create a living house that attracts people and inspires them to engage.
- Are good at communicating clearly and engagingly - both in writing and orally.
You work independently, take responsibility and thrive with creating something new, where the answers are not given in advance. You can operate among both volunteers, local enthusiasts, businesses and public partners.
What do we offer?
You will have the opportunity to make your mark on an ambitious project where circular transition, communities and employment go hand in hand.
We offer a work environment with high ceilings, short decision paths and freedom with responsibility. You will become part of a strong local network and have the opportunity to develop and test new solutions together with engaged partners.
