Olympus Nursery is looking for the world’s best infant educator with a heart in the right place………

Olympus Nursery is a merged institution located on two sites at Korevej 2 and Fortunavej 1. Korevej is a small, cozy kindergarten with 20 children, and Fortuna is an exciting, integrated institution with 18 nursery children and 39 kindergarten children. It is in the nursery we lack hands.

We work as one house with a shared pedagogy based on NEST, ICDP and Aalborg Municipality’s quality markers. If you have knowledge of the above, it is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Olympus Nursery is an institution in development, and therefore there is plenty of opportunity to be a co-creator of a developing learning environment that supports all children’s participation in the children’s community, all based on Aalborg Municipality’s view of children.

We are seeking an educator in a permanent position 37 hours per week, and an educator in a maternity-leave cover 37 hours weekly – the permanent position is to start as soon as possible, and the maternity-leave cover is from 1 December 2026. Both positions are in our nursery department at Fortunavej.

We want an educator who can

• Create safe and developmentally nurturing learning environments for children aged 0–6 years
• Work in an appreciative and relationship-based way with each child
• Plan and implement pedagogical activities with high professional quality
• Actively engage in collaboration with parents, and see them as important partners
• Work with wellbeing evaluations (TOPI) and prepare parent conversations, among other things
• Contribute to a warm and inclusive culture in the house

We expect that you

• Are a trained educator – for the permanent position it is valued that you have experience from a nursery
• Have a strong professional awareness and can translate theory into practice
• Are present, acknowledging, caring and clear in your approach to the children
• Thrive in a daily life with both structure and flexibility
• Are reliable and can attend during the full opening hours 6.30-16.50
• Are keen to contribute to a positive and developing working environment, where we look out for each other and respect each other’s differences
