In Hjørring Municipality, Educational and Vocational Guidance is a central part of the Youth Guarantee and the Youth Leap. We believe that no one can know everything – but everyone can contribute something! As a professional coordinator you will play a role in translating the strategic direction for primary and youth guidance into concrete practice for young people from 7th grade up to 30 years old.

You will be the link between management, employees, partners and external actors. Your task is not necessarily to be the one who goes deepest into the detail, but rather the one who creates overview, ties together, builds relationships and ensures that tasks and initiatives are brought to fruition.

The position is for you who are motivated by a changing everyday life, where there are often many balls in the air, tight deadlines and political attention on the results.

About the job

As a professional coordinator you will have a versatile role with a focus on coordination, collaboration, development and implementation of initiatives in the Youth Department at Hjørring Jobcenter, in the Educational and Vocational Guidance team.

Your tasks will include, among others

• Professional sparring with colleagues, management and partners on initiatives, development tasks and guidance of young people
• Coordination and professional support of initiatives in the STU area, including visitations and absence meetings as well as support of authority tasks.
• Interdisciplinary coordination and collaboration across departments with a focus on holistic interventions and smooth transitions from child to adult.
• Planning and coordination of the education fair, bridging activities and other joint initiatives for young people.
• Development and maintenance of strong collaborative relationships with primary schools, upper secondary education, companies as well as internal and external partners.
• Follow-up on goals, initiatives and results, including reports, presentations and participation in handling of complex individual cases and complaint cases.

• Know about KUI-, STU- and LAB-legislation, but most importantly you can translate frameworks into action and results.

About us

Educational and Vocational Guidance is part of the Youth and Education Department in the Department of Children and Labor Market. The department consists of three teams that work closely together to support young people's path to education and employment.

You will become part of a guidance team of 16 engaged colleagues with diverse professional backgrounds and experiences – all focused on collaboration and high professional standards in task solving.

You will also be part of a coordinator group consisting of two professional coordinators who work closely with the leadership team to strengthen the department's effort to get as many young people as possible into education or employment.
