Family therapist for a team with high professional standards and a focus on early intervention

Team 0-8

In our team there are 6 child advisers and with you we will be 5 family therapists. We meet families with very different needs and challenges, and most of the families we help require a longer-term and more intensive family-therapy intervention.

We are therefore looking for a colleague who is especially focused on supporting the well-being and development of the youngest children, and who wants to understand what lies behind the child’s behavior, and help the parents create the conditions that strengthen the child’s development opportunities. A common thread in our work is that we start from the family’s current situation and, as far as possible, tailor the intervention so that it matches the child’s and family’s needs.

As a family therapist you will work with a broad spectrum of tasks, often more complex family-treatment plans for families with children aged 0-8 years. You must be able to build trusting relationships, support the child’s development and well-being, and at the same time help the family translate goals and intentions into concrete actions in everyday life. We have several families who have autism and/or ADHD, so it is an advantage if you have knowledge of and experience with this.

We place emphasis on early and preventive intervention, but are also available when families find themselves in more demanding situations and need closer and more comprehensive support. It may be long-term family-therapy tasks where changes are pursued over time, and in some cases it may be necessary to be more directive, which you should also feel comfortable with.

As a family therapist in Team 0-8 years you will

• Have weekly meetings with the entire team or your professional group team, where we discuss and implement interventions.
• Have great freedom to plan your concrete tasks yourself.
• Engage in diverse tasks. We work based on the Child Welfare Act. This means, among other things, advice and guidance, psychoeducation, practical pedagogical support and family therapy. We have both individual plans, family conversations and relevant group programs.
• Have good colleagues who possess a high professional level and who value and see the necessity of professional sparring and supervision. We have a culture where we reach out to one another, whether it is for sparring or a good idea.
• Have the opportunity to become part of a professionally strong group, where we continuously spar about cases and draw on each other’s experiences. We work with a high degree of independence, but we are never alone when a case calls for joint reflection or new perspectives.

We would be excited if you

• Have a pedagogical or other social science basic education with relevant further education or continuing education, preferably a psychotherapeutic qualification.
• Come with solid experience in family therapy.
• Have experience working with complex tasks where there are autism spectrum disorders or other psychiatric conditions in the family.
• Are patient and persistent and believe that change is possible.
• Would like to challenge and inspire our practice with your reflections.
• Also see the value in a team where we have room for laughter and humor, but approach all tasks with wholehearted commitment.

About the process

The application deadline is October 21 at 12:00. Interviews are expected to be held on Friday, October 23.

Starting date as soon as possible or December 1.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are set in accordance with the applicable agreement. In addition, qualification and functional supplements can be agreed. The expected total salary is in the range of DKK 41,000 – 48,000 per month excluding pension, depending on experience, competences, education and the applicable agreement.

Please note that we obtain a child certificate, an extended criminal record check and references for all new hires.
