About the job

In connection with the expansion of the ankle-monitoring program we are seeking engaged and responsible colleagues for permanent full-time positions with start on 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The positions are part of the ankle-monitoring departments in Southern Denmark's overall duty roster with weekday, weekend and holiday shifts.

About the ankle-monitoring departments

The ankle-monitoring departments in Southern Denmark work with serving sentences at the individual's home with electronic ankle monitoring. The departments make decisions on initiation and release, prepare suitability assessments and carry out control and supervision – all within Denmark’s Prisons’ vision of helping people move on to a life without crime.

You will become part of a dedicated team of about 45 employees spread over two sites – one site located in Kolding and the other in Odense. There is close collaboration across the sites to solve the departments’ tasks.

The employee group has different professional backgrounds, including social workers, office-trained employees and prison officers. The interdisciplinary cooperation creates a dynamic work environment with high professional standards.

The ankle-monitoring departments in Kolding and Odense are organized in several teams with different functions.

We are currently seeking a number of employees for our on-call team in Kolding. The on-call team handles the field control tasks with clients as well as a number of case-processing tasks, including the preparation of action plans and parole recommendations.

About the positions

As an employee at Fodlænken Kolding you will have an exciting, meaningful and varied job, where you contribute to ensuring that sentences are served in a safe and professional manner. You will be employed by Fodlænken Kolding, but the entire combined ankle-monitoring unit’s service area – which includes both Southern Jutland and Funen – is regarded as your overall work area. This means that you must be prepared to participate in weekend and on-call shifts as well as perform alarm dispatching across the entire ankle-monitoring unit’s area.

Duty placement and distribution of tasks will be based on the concrete operational needs and the ongoing development in the number of deprivation placements across the region. We work flexibly across departments to ensure stable operations, high professional quality and efficient task execution in the entire unit.

We expect that you

  • have a relevant higher education such as e.g. social worker, social facilitator or other relevant professional background
  • can translate professional knowledge into practice and demonstrate social-professional judgment in concrete cases
  • formulate yourself confidently and precisely – both orally and in writing
  • have experience with case processing, documentation and working with people
  • thrive on taking independent responsibility and maintaining an overview in complex situations
  • have an appreciative and collaborative approach to both clients and colleagues
  • are robust, flexible and prepared to work at all times of the day
  • have a driving license and are prepared for a substantial amount of driving in a service vehicle
  • reside in the region

We offer

  • thorough training and professional introduction to working with ankle-monitoring sanctions
  • ongoing professional sparring and skills development
  • supervision and health scheme.
