Freelance Java Developer, Greater Copenhagen

Our client is seeking an experienced freelance Java Developer. The assignment includes migrating large volumes of data from legacy platforms to a modern standard solution where data quality, stability and traceability are critical for the business.

Professional competencies

• Solid experience with Java development
• Experience with Spring / Spring Boot (preferably Spring Boot 3.5)
• Experience with Java development on migration projects
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
• Experience with data integration/data migration (ETL, batch-processing of large data volumes)
• Experience with agile methods (Scrum/Kanban) and task management in Azure DevOps Experience with documentation of technical solutions and processes

It is advantageous to have

• Knowledge of and experience with AI agent solutions (e.g., AI-assisted development tools/ coding agents) and using these in daily development
• Knowledge of Azure Databricks
• Knowledge of Flyway or other database migration management
• Experience with structured/JSON logging (SLF4J, Logback, Kibana)
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation

• Analytical and methodical approach to problem solving
• Great attention to detail and data quality
• Collaborative and good at knowledge sharing in hybrid teams

Duration: 6-8 months with possibility for extension

Scope: Full-time

Location: you must be able to be primarily onsite in Greater Copenhagen
