Guldborgsund is seeking disability escorts

Are you passionate about helping and making a huge difference for others? Are you a student, a pensioner, or do you simply have a few hours to spare?

As a companion you have a diverse job, where you help citizens with a physical or mental disability to have experiences outside the home.

Generally we need companions in these areas

• Stubbekøbing
• Guldborg
• Sakskøbing
• Nykøbing and surroundings.

It is possible for citizens to be granted up to 15 hours of companionship per month if they have a disability that means they cannot move about outside their home or the institution they live in.

The job as a companion is very varied, depending on what the citizen wants. The companion helps the citizen as the extended arm in relation to the challenge for the citizen – but not personal care. Activities outside the home can be anything from shopping, cinema, walks, and participation in cultural events – all according to the citizen's wishes.

Working conditions

The shift length for a companion varies greatly depending on the task the citizen has, and for the same reason it is on an hourly wage, as it is the citizen who decides whether to use 0 or 15 hours per month. A driving license is often a requirement.

We require

• Clean criminal record
• Flexibility with regard to working hours
• Empathy and ability to read situations.
• Conscientiousness

There is no requirement for a specific education to work as a companion.

Employment terms : Hourly paid and according to the applicable collective agreement and to be filled as soon as possible.

Application deadline and interviews: We invite to interviews on an ongoing basis
