Job description

As a fiber technician at Atea you will be responsible for installing fiber connections in private homes. It requires good communication skills to interact with customers as well as a craft background; the willingness to acquire new knowledge is also essential.

Don’t worry — we are ready to support you! We do not always look at your formal background; the most important thing for us is what you can contribute now and in the future. Although it can be advantageous to have an electrician background, it is not a requirement to apply as a fiber technician with us.

Where and how?

Some days are similar, but no two days are the same. You will become part of our Fiber West department, Connect Fiber where you travel to tasks in Southern Jutland, Central Jutland and Funen.

Atea provides a car, and there is always help available from your team. You are in close contact with an Atea team coordinator and manager who distribute the tasks among you and ensure that you have what you need.

Responsibilities as a fiber technician at Atea

We guarantee a fun daily life, where your colleagues provide sparring and help if challenges arise. At the same time you must also be able to:

• Talk to customers and ensure that they have a reassuring experience.
• Install feeder fiber and distribution points in apartment buildings as well as fiber in detached houses.
• Carry out installation of channel and cable trays and pull cables in them, which may include lift work.
• Perform FTTH installation at the customer's site.
• Work in rack cabinets, POP stations and Access houses

Your background is important

The most important thing is that you are ready to work independently, are passionate about customer contact and have a basic understanding of IT. Your profile may look like this:

• You have experience with fiber and a couple of years of experience.
• You have a fiber education or an electrical background.
• You possess basic IT competencies, as you spend about 1 hour daily on digital documentation.

This is a long-term temporary position through our partner Power People under the Electrical collective agreement and local agreement.
