About the job

Do you want to create visibility and engagement on social media – and can you translate strong ideas and societal challenges into grant applications, partnerships and funding? Then you can play a central role in Bryd Tavshedens's further development.

Who are we?

Bryd Tavsheden is a nationwide organization that prevents violence in intimate relationships and helps young people aged 13 to 24 who live with physical or psychological violence.

We offer anonymous counseling via chat and phone, individual coaching and teaching at schools and educational institutions. At the same time, we work to break the silence about violence and to create greater knowledge and awareness among young people, parents, professionals, politicians and the general public.

We are an organization in development with high ambitions. We want to reach more young people, be clearer in the public debate and create a stronger and more sustainable financial foundation for our work. Therefore we are looking for a press, communications and fundraising lead who can elevate our social media, visibility and grant work.

About the position

You will have an independent and cross-cutting responsibility for Bryd Tavshedens's communication and fundraising. You will both develop the direction and ensure that ideas are translated into concrete posts, campaigns, press efforts, grant applications and collaborations.

The position is, as a starting point, approximately 60 percent on press, communications and social media and 40 percent on fundraising. The distribution can vary in periods depending on the organization's activities and needs.

You will work closely with the Secretary General, the organization's professional staff, volunteers and external partners. You must therefore be able to work independently and at the same time be good at gathering knowledge and translating colleagues' expertise into engaging communication and strong applications.

Social media and communication

Social media will be an important part of your work. You will be responsible for developing and driving Bryd Tavshedens's presence on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • developing an overall strategy and editorial plan for our social media
  • producing relevant and engaging content in the form of text, graphics and short videos
  • translating professional knowledge and complex issues into content that is easy to understand and share
  • developing content that speaks to both young people, professionals, decision-makers, foundations and partners
  • planning and executing digital campaigns
  • working with advertising, audiences, reach and data
  • following current agendas and responding quickly when Bryd Tavsheden has a relevant voice
  • following up on results and continuously developing our digital communication.

Fundraising and partnerships

You will play an important role in securing funding for Bryd Tavshedens's existing and upcoming activities.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • developing and maintaining the organization's fundraising strategy and annual plan
  • identifying relevant foundations, grants, companies and strategic partners
  • developing new projects in collaboration with management and the organization's professional staff
  • writing targeted and qualified grant applications
  • coordinating project descriptions, budgets, timelines and impact goals
  • ensuring overview of application deadlines and ongoing applications
  • following up on grants and contributing to reporting and evaluation
  • building and maintaining relationships with foundations and other funding partners
  • contributing to the development of corporate collaborations and other forms of support.

Press and public visibility

You will help ensure that Bryd Tavsheden becomes a clear and credible voice in the public debate about violence in intimate relationships.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • planning and conducting press efforts and campaigns
  • identifying and developing stories with journalistic and societal relevance
  • writing press releases, opinion pieces, commentaries, newsletters and content for the website
  • supporting the organization's political communication and advocacy
  • building and maintaining relationships with relevant journalists and media
  • advising the Secretary General and the organization's staff on press and communication.

We imagine that you

  • have relevant experience with social media, communication and fundraising
  • write confidently, vividly and targeted to different audiences
  • have experience with grant applications and can develop a good idea into a convincing application
  • understand the different social media audiences, formats and opportunities
  • can produce content and have an eye for both text, graphics and short videos
  • have a journalistic sense and can find the good story in a professional and complex reality
  • are very structured and detail-oriented
  • can prioritise and maintain overview when many tasks and deadlines must be handled simultaneously
  • work independently, take initiative and follow tasks through to completion
  • have strong collaboration skills and thrive in an organization with short decision paths.

It is an advantage if you have worked with Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, TikTok, Canva or Adobe Express, Mailchimp, WordPress, project management and AI tools. Experience from an NGO, interest organization, political organization or other value-based workplace would also be an advantage, but is not a requirement.

With us you get

  • a central role in an organization with an important societal mission
  • great independence and influence on our communication and fundraising
  • opportunity to develop Bryd Tavshedens's position and digital profile
  • close contact with both expertise, management, volunteers and external partners
  • flexibility and the possibility of remote work by agreement
  • opportunity for competency development, conferences and relevant professional networks
  • an workplace with high ambitions, short decision paths, strong professionalism and humor.
