Head of Tech & IT

Do you want to combine leadership, development and IT operations?

We are looking for a Head of Tech & IT , who can both set the direction for our internal development and IT department and also be hands-on when development, operations and bug fixes are needed.

You will lead two departments and be responsible for creating structure, prioritizing projects and ensuring that our internal systems and IT run efficiently in daily operations.

This is a role for someone who can think strategically as well as get stuck into the practical. You do not need to know everything, but you must have a strong technical background, be able to understand the business and want to be close to technology.

What you will be doing

The role combines hands-on technical work with leadership and spans the following areas

IT Support and Administration

• Responsible for stable, secure and well-functioning IT operations across the organization
• Ownership of IT infrastructure, user administration and access control
• Administration and further development of the company's Microsoft 365 platform and other central IT tools
• Ensure structured processes for support, documentation, onboarding/offboarding and disaster recovery
• Responsible for IT security, compliance, GDPR, backup and ongoing risk management

Tech & Software

• Responsible for development and further development of internal systems and web solutions, including the company\'s own CRM system
• Active participation in practical software development, debugging and technical problem solving
• Technical ownership of codebase, architecture, version control and deployment
• Ensure high code quality and efficient development processes
• Drive effective use of modern AI tools as an integrated part of the development work

Leadership

• Lead and develop a small IT and development team
• Close collaboration with the CTO and CFO on technology, prioritization and budget
• Manage suppliers, licenses, budgets and IT contracts
• Contribute to governance around AI, data, security and tools

We are looking for a person who has

• Background as a developer in web/backend, e.g. PHP and Laravel, as well as databases/MySQL
• Familiar with IT administration and IT security, including access control, MFA, backup and disaster recovery
• Experience in leading, coordinating or developing others, e.g., as a team lead, mentor, project manager or people manager.
• Experience with AI-assisted development, e.g. Claude
• Ability to solve tasks in networking and integrations
• Ability to create structure, prioritize and make independent decisions
• Strong business acumen and strong communication skills – both with developers and management

It is advantageous if you have

It is not essential that you can check all the boxes. It is advantageous if you have experience with:

• Deep knowledge of server setup, Linux and operations
• Skills in version control (Git), deployment and production debugging
• Understanding of Microsoft 365, Entra ID/Azure AD, Intune and endpoint management
• Experience with Docker and modern deployment/CI-CD
• Experience with AI governance and modern SaaS landscapes
• Experience with vendor management and license optimization
