Helsingør diocese seeks a building consultant for rectories

Helsingør Stift seeks to fill as of January 1, 2027 a building consultant for service housing, etc., until December 31, 2030.

We are looking for a building consultant who understands the many facets of the Church of Denmark's building stock.

The appointment is fixed-term for a period of 4 years and is a secondary occupation.

Profile

To be considered as a building consultant you must be educated as an architect MAA or have an equivalent approved foreign degree.

Tasks

The tasks involve advice and guidance to parish councils, deanery committees and the diocese upon request on, among other things:

· the priestly residences service housing and farm buildings, etc.

· renovation and demolition of buildings.

· construction of new buildings.

· purchase, lease or sale of buildings and building plots.

You as a building consultant shall, upon request, provide statements in cases relating to the above areas.

You will also need to participate in the assessment of parsonages with a view to determining housing allowances. In addition, you shall also participate in the annual building inspections at the diocese's administration building and the bishop's residence.

It is important to note that as a building consultant you must not undertake design tasks for parish councils within the diocese you are employed in, unless the diocese exceptionally approves it.

Remuneration

The remuneration as of January 1, 2026

• Consulting cases pursuant to § 8 in Circular No. 9779 of 6 October 2009 on the joint instruction for Church of Denmark consultants: 1,236 DKK per hour.
• Statements cases pursuant to § 7, para. 1, in Circular No. 9779 of 6 October 2009 on the joint instruction for Church of Denmark consultants: 1,854 DKK per statement.

The remuneration is supplemented by 12.5% holiday allowance, while no VAT is added.

The rates are adjusted annually on January 1.
