Højbo seeks Assistant for permanent position

Friplejehjemmet Højbo seeks a social- and health care assistant who finds joy in creating good relationships with residents. We place emphasis on homeliness and care for the individual. We meet the residents with respect for their life history, wishes and prerequisites, and we invite them to live life – also when they need support. You will become an important part of the experience, both through your professional skills and through the small star moments that arise in everyday life.

Who are you?

We are looking for a colleague who thrives in close contact with residents and relatives, and who wants to bring their professionalism into play in an environment where we pull together. You have an overview, are curious about development and see the value in interdisciplinary collaboration. Documentation is a natural part of your work – and knowledge of Cura is an advantage, but otherwise we will teach you. The most important is that you meet people with warmth, respect and a desire to create security.

You want to work in evenings and day shifts in a value-based organization, where residents’ well-being and joy of life are the starting point for our work, professionalism, collaboration and culture. You are flexible, welcoming and want to work cross-disciplinary. We are here for the sake of the residents.

You have the option to choose whether you want to work every 2nd or every 4th weekend.

Your tasks will include, among others

• Providing care and nursing with professionalism, presence and respect
• Ensuring good documentation and collaboration with colleagues and relatives
• Contributing to a meaningful everyday life for the residents
• Taking responsibility and working in a structured way based on the residents’ needs and wishes

We are looking for someone who

• Is educated as a social- and health care assistant
• Is professionally strong and eager to develop themselves and teach others
• Is passionate about creating a good everyday life for the elderly
• Is positive, flexible and works well both independently and in teams

About the position

• The position is 30 hours , with work every 2nd or 4th weekend .
• Salary and employment follow current collective agreement.
• Health insurance, which includes physiotherapist, chiropractor, etc.

• Start: November 1 or by agreement.

Friplejehjemmet Højbo is located in Arnborg and benefits from collaboration with the small local community. We are well established and have a stable staff team.

There are 36 residents living in 3 wings. We have 8 in day shifts on weekdays, 4 in evening shifts and two in night shifts. In addition there are kitchen staff, cleaning staff, department nurse, caretakers, secretary and activities staff. We experience that there are many to take care of the residents. We are never alone with the responsibility. We are very aware of being welcoming and kind both towards the residents, their relatives and towards each other. Højbo has something quite special.
