House assistant for Regnbuen

Are you passionate about making delicious, healthy and inviting food for small children? Can you see the joy in introducing children to new taste experiences while creating security through familiar favorites? Then you might be our new house assistant.

We are looking for a house assistant for a fixed-term position (leave coverage) with a start date of 1 December or preferably earlier.

The position is advertised for 37 hours per week, but with the possibility of fewer hours. The 20 weekly hours will be in the kitchen and the remaining hours will be in the role of assistant in the SFO's morning and afternoon offerings.

About us

We are a small, jointly run institution located in scenic surroundings in Ørebro near Fjerritslev. Under the same roof we have a nursery and a kindergarten, while our SFO and school are just over the schoolyard. We place great emphasis on presence, community and good relationships.

In the day care we have 15 infants and 20 preschool children, in the SFO 35 children aged 6-10 years.

You will become part of an engaged and helpful staff group where cooperation, humor and flexibility are a natural part of everyday life.

Your tasks

As a house assistant you will be responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen and for ensuring good meals for our children aged 0-6 years.

Your tasks will include, among other things

• Prepare lunch and mid-morning snacks for infants and preschool children
• Develop varied and nutritious meal plans targeted at children aged 0-6 years
• Bake bread and other homemade products
• Create joy around eating by both serving the children’s favorites and challenging their curiosity about new ingredients and flavors
• Contribute actively to our goal of a minimum of 60% organic
• Order goods and be responsible for goods receipt and quality control
• Have a financially responsible approach to purchasing
• Carry out self-checks according to applicable guidelines
• Ensure high hygiene and order in all kitchen areas
• Collaborate with the pedagogical staff around meals and food culture

With extended hours you will also work as an assistant in the SFO in the morning and afternoon.
