Apply for the position

Do you have experience with hydraulics and civil engineering projects – and a desire to work with water and climate solutions that can be felt in our cities and society?

Climate change is presenting us as a society with some of the most complex and crucial challenges of our time. Stronger heavy rainfall events and rising groundwater are putting pressure on existing infrastructure and require solutions that both protect people, buildings and nature – and at the same time create value for future generations.

In Water & Climate we work across disciplines to develop and implement holistic solutions. We design rainwater and sewage systems, stormproof urban areas and design LAR solutions that manage water while also considering urban life, biodiversity and aesthetics. We solve assignments for municipalities, utilities and development companies and work through integrated advisory services closely with colleagues across infrastructure, construction and architecture.

About the position

As a project engineer with us you will play a central role in developing and designing water and climate solutions, where hydraulic assessments and plant/installation technical understanding go hand in hand. You work with solutions that must be buildable, operable and functioning in practice – and you will have a working day with both office work and tasks where your construction site experience (or willingness to build it) becomes an asset.

Your main tasks will be

  • Design civil engineering and drainage solutions in water and climate projects as well as projects with nature restoration as part of the Green Tripartite Agreement.
  • Perform hydraulic calculations and analyses as the basis for sizing and selecting solutions.
  • Contribute to planning and climate adaptation focusing on the interplay between permit handling, hydraulic verification, constructibility and future operation.
  • Prepare technical documentation, notes and contributions to tender material.
  • Participate in supervision and follow-up in the execution phase and ensure that the designed solutions are realized as intended.
  • Engage in close dialogue with clients, partners and internal disciplines to create robust, sustainable holistic solutions.

About you

You have a solid technical understanding and can link hydraulic knowledge to plant/technical solutions for both urban and nature projects (in your CV you may highlight which tools or measures you have experience with). In addition you work in a structured way, are curious to find the right solutions and can communicate clearly – both when you brainstorm internally and when you advise customers and partners.

We expect that you

  • Have a degree as a civil or diploma engineer.
  • Have between 3-5+ years of experience (mid-level) with civil engineering projects and hydraulics – preferably from infrastructure projects.
  • Have experience with hydraulic modeling of drainage systems (e.g., MIKE Urban or similar).
  • Have experience with LAR solutions and climate adaptation projects in urban areas.
  • Have advisory experience and understanding of the project phases from early clarification to tender and execution.
  • Have experience from construction sites, supervision and/or close collaboration with contractors – or a clear motivation to work more in execution-oriented interfaces.
  • Have an interest in nature and water management in nature projects.
  • Can translate technical analyses into practical recommendations that create value for the client.
  • Have good collaboration skills and thrive in interdisciplinary collaboration across disciplines and geographies.
