Internship in Mechanical Design

Would you like to help design, develop and test advanced robot and automation solutions in close collaboration with experienced designers?

So take your internship at BILA Automation. Here you get the chance to test your knowledge in practice and gain insight into how modern production equipment is designed and developed.

From sketch to finished solution

As an intern you become part of our design department at BILA Automation, where we help our customers with everything from simple automation to upgrading entire production lines.

Together with our experienced designers and your fellow intern you will have the opportunity to go through many of the phases in design – from layout and design specifications to bill of materials, I/O lists, pneumatic diagrams and preparation for production. This we do, among other things, in programs such as AutoCAD, Vault and Inventor PRO.

Do you have design on your mind? And…

• are studying Production Technology, Mechanical Engineering or similar education
• have technical experience or a crafts background
• are curious, proactive and ready to test your knowledge in practice
• would you like to learn and contribute to shared results
• can you work independently and take responsibility for your tasks

All the practical stuff

We can offer internship at our head office in Nykøbing Mors or the office in Herning , where you will become part of an inspiring and developing environment. When you apply we ask you to indicate which locations you are interested in. If you do not live nearby? Fortunately there are good and affordable housing options nearby so you can easily find somewhere to live during the internship.

The internship period typically lasts 10–12 weeks. Thereafter we hope you choose to write your subsequent project in collaboration with BILA.

We strive to have two interns at a time, as we experience that it provides the best learning outcome and the greatest development for you – and that is important to us.

Start date is agreed individually depending on your education. The internship is unpaid , but as an intern at BILA you get access to a good canteen scheme (because innovation requires fuel), participation in social events, relevant equipment and the possibility of subsidies for travel expenses.
