IT- and generalist project managers for the establishment of a new large operations center

29 municipalities in the Copenhagen metropolitan area have joined forces to establish a strong and future-proof foundation for the municipalities' IT operations, cybersecurity and digital development - we call it it29.

We are right now in a very exciting establishment phase, where strategic decisions must be translated into timelines, concrete solutions, agreements and governance frameworks. Therefore we are currently seeking a number of new colleagues who have the abilities and the desire to put their professional imprint on the work and together with the municipalities build the organization that going forward will lift the task.

We are expanding our team and are seeking a total of 3 new colleagues for respectively project management, communication and program support.

The one project manager we are looking for is a generalist

Project Manager for company formation and finance

Do you want to participate in creating the organizational, legal and financial foundation for it29?

As a project manager – or track lead as we call it in our program – for track 1, you will have a key role in building it29. The track creates the legal and financial prerequisites for the new company and works, among other things, with statutes, shareholder agreements, financial models, budgets, contractual relationships and the physical establishment of the organization. Track 1 also assists the other tracks with contracts and supplier agreements.

To succeed well in the role as generalist project manager

• you have experience with project management in complex organizations
• you are interested in helping to find our new domicile, develop governance for the company and ensure some payment models for our shareholder municipalities
• you are strong at process management and facilitation
• you can navigate among many different stakeholders and agendas
• you work in a structured way and follow up on agreements and deliverables
• you are excellent at creating overview and translating complex problems into concrete actions.

It is not essential that you have previously worked with the IT area. The most important is that you are a strong project manager with notably good collaboration and communication skills.

IT project managers for our technical projects

We are looking for two IT project managers in our technical track, who will help ensure that we achieve IT29's common technical vision and establish the frameworks on which the new organization shall build. The track works, among other things, with vision and target picture, cybersecurity, minimum standards, documentation, service catalog and SLA structure. Tasks are distributed among you based on competencies and motivation.

You will be part of a strong professional environment with participants from the 29 municipalities and you will have a unique opportunity to influence the solutions and standards that will form the foundation for IT29.

To succeed well in the role as IT project manager

• you have experience with project management of larger or complex IT projects
• you are motivated to contribute to the development of IT29's vision, target picture and solutions and you look forward to the opportunity to support an increased level of cybersecurity in the municipalities
• you facilitate processes confidently between municipal professionals, managers and specialists
• you can understand and translate IT specialists' input into management reporting and decision proposals
• you know that the energy you put into stakeholder management is well spent

You will be responsible for ensuring progress in the track's many tasks and activities across working groups, municipalities, professional areas and stakeholders

Together with PMO colleagues, you will prepare decision proposals, analyses and presentations and ensure coherence between the track's deliverables and the overall program plan

You will have real influence on the solutions, structures and collaboration forms that will shape IT29

You will have a collaboration with IT managers, program management and specialists from the participating municipalities.

About us

it29 is an upcoming joint municipal IT organization for 29 municipalities in the Copenhagen area – excluding Copenhagen Municipality and including Solrød Municipality.

You will become part of it29's program organization which is currently under construction, and you will therefore have the opportunity to shape your own role as well as contribute to the common structures and working practices.

You will initially be employed by Frederiksberg Municipality, but work in it29's program organization across the participating municipalities. When the company is established, you will transfer to it29. The final physical location is not yet known, but it will be centrally located in the metropolitan area.

Practical information

Salary and terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement between KL and the negotiating organization. This is a set of full-time positions at 37 hours per week with start as soon as possible.

Workplace is initially Frederiksberg Town Hall, Smallegade 1, 2000 Frederiksberg.

Travel across the Copenhagen area can be expected, just as there is the possibility for remote work and flexible working arrangements.
