About the job

Do you want to help further develop strong, inclusive learning environments at Allerød’s schools? Do you have solid experience with co-teaching, action learning and professional learning communities – and are you passionate about turning your knowledge into concrete development close to practice?

Then you might be the person we are looking for as a practice supervisor in PPR. The position is 37 hours. Start on 1 January 2027.

Join us in developing the learning environments of the future

In Allerød, we are already well underway with an exciting development of our learning environments at the schools. We are working purposefully to create learning environments where more students experience that they can participate, learn and thrive in mainstream communities.

Co-teaching and knowledge of neuro-pedagogy, action learning and professional learning communities are among the approaches we work with to develop practice in the ambition to strengthen professionals’ ability to create differentiated and inclusive learning environments.

As a practice supervisor you will have a central role in supporting and further developing this process. You will not be left alone with the task. You will become part of PPR and a strong interdisciplinary community where different professional areas collaborate to support children and young people’s well-being, development, learning and participation in close cooperation with the municipality’s schools. In addition, you will have close collaboration with the School and Day Care consultants.

A practice-oriented advisory role

As a practice supervisor you must be close to the daily life and practice of the schools. You must be able to move confidently between the classroom, the team, the advisory role, school leadership and the municipal strategy. You should have an eye for the learning environment as a whole and be able to advise on didactical, pedagogical, social and physical frameworks that support students’ participation, learning and well-being.

You will therefore spend a large part of your time out in the schools, where you work with leaders, advisors and teams on concrete development tasks.

For example, when a team wants to develop their collaboration through co-teaching, when a school works to strengthen professional learning communities, or when staff want to investigate and develop their practice through action learning.

You must be able to be the one who asks good questions, brings new professional knowledge into play and helps translate it into concrete action.

Your tasks

  • Ensure continued implementation and organizational anchoring of the municipality’s work with co-teaching and support that new knowledge is translated into, tested and anchored as lasting practice
  • Observe, analyze and advise on the development of pedagogical, didactic, social and physical learning environments with a focus on organization, differentiation, structure and participation opportunities
  • Facilitate action learning programs and other development processes where staff investigate and develop their own practice
  • Be a professional sparring partner and provide practice-oriented guidance and coaching to school leadership, advisors and teams
  • Plan and conduct workshops, presentations and competence development for staff and leaders
  • Collaborate closely with the rest of PPR’s professional groups on concrete development tasks at the schools

We envision that you

  • Are a qualified teacher, preferably with relevant post- or further education, and have solid experience from the school sector
  • Have strong knowledge of differentiated learning environments
  • Have in-depth knowledge of and experience with co-teaching, action learning and professional learning communities
  • Have experience in supporting development of teaching practice and team collaboration
  • Have interest in or experience with applying neuro-pedagogical perspectives in practice
  • Are familiar with both presentations, teaching, coaching and professional sparring
  • Can build trustful relationships while challenging practice in a constructive way
  • Can translate complex professional knowledge into something that makes sense and can be used in everyday life
  • Work systematically and can maintain direction in long-term development processes

PPR

You will become part of PPR, where we work closely across disciplines to support children, young people and the professional communities around them.

We place emphasis on high professional standards, curiosity and close collaboration with practice. We believe that the best solutions arise when different disciplines meet and when our professional knowledge is brought into play together with – and not only against – practice.

As a practice supervisor you therefore have both the opportunity to work independently close to the schools and to join a strong professional community in PPR.
