About the job
Would you like to lead IT projects that ensure Region of Southern Denmark has effective IT solutions – and would you help deliver excellent user experiences for patients and staff at the hospitals?
”As an IT project manager you have a central role in planning the projects and ensuring collaboration within the project team, and you are responsible for maintaining progress in the projects in relation to the agreed deliverables, deadlines and budgets” – says Lars Nissen Agerskov, head of Technical and Administrative Projects.
Your new colleagues
In the Technical and Administrative Projects function, we are 26 project managers and project assistants. You will thus become part of a large project management organization where we actively engage in professional sparring with colleagues in sparring groups and one-on-one coaching with the head of function on what it means to be a project manager.
Our project portfolio is large and varied. We have projects where we participate in cross-regional projects and projects where we primarily deliver to our own hospitals. In addition, we have internal projects where we contribute to the optimization and development of technical solutions.
You as a project manager
Your educational background can be diverse, but you have completed a technical or academic degree and have experience working in an IT organization.
You have 3-5 years of documented experience with managing IT projects in larger organizations – preferably public, where you have gained experience with implementation of IT systems or technical deliverables in larger IT projects.
You have practical experience with the use of the Prince2 project model. It would also be an advantage if you have knowledge of IT within the health sector, including public procurement.
You are a skilled communicator who thrives on navigating a large organization, where you need to build and maintain relationships. In addition, you are able to see alternative solutions to complex problems and to balance between many stakeholders – internal as well as external. This, combined with your own involvement in ensuring the necessary clarification and definition of the project scope and content.
Regional IT
Regional IT is Region Zealand’s central IT operations organization, counting about 500 employees, distributed across several locations in the region, but mainly in Kolding, Vejle and Odense.
Regional IT runs one of Denmark’s largest operations setups, where we daily ensure stable operations for 30,000 users at 60 locations. Our operations setup includes 4,000 servers, most of which are located in our state-of-the-art operation center in Kolding.
Is Region of Southern Denmark and Regional IT a workplace for you?
With us there is room for the whole person. In daily life we focus on making work and private life function together, and as part of this, we offer a home office and flex-time arrangement.
You will have your workplace at our office at Kolding Hospital or at the location closest to your home address. We have fixed office days in Kolding, Tuesday and Thursday, where we expect you to be physically present. Depending on which project you join, you should expect travel within the region and, in some cases, to the other regions.
Salary and terms of employment
This is a full-time position of 37 hours per week.
The position is to be filled on 1 January 2027.
Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between Danish Regions and the relevant professional organization.
The region is obligated to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be told the base salary, centrally fixed allowances, and pension. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience, and qualifications.
