IT specialists sought for the day-to-day operation of IT solutions for FE’s cyber operations

Are you a skilled IT specialist seeking a professionally challenging job where you can use your technical and analytical abilities? Are you passionate about making a difference for Denmark's security? FE’s cyber sector is seeking profiles to support the operation of operative IT solutions.

You will get challenges and room to develop

You will join a versatile team that, among other things, has the task of developing and operating systems and networks that support FE's cyber mission. Here you will play a central role in planning, implementing and automating the operation of operative IT solutions. You will work in close collaboration with skilled colleagues and contribute to knowledge sharing and method development with colleagues across FE.

We are seeking profiles who can take primary responsibility for IT operations of operative IT solutions in FE's cyber sector, including participating in the design and implementation of new initiatives, conveying an overview, as well as carrying out server operation, network operation and producing technical documentation.

You should expect a certain emphasis on operative ad hoc tasks, including setup and operation of Linux-based servers, clients, networks, probes, analysis systems, business applications etc.

Your and your background are important

You may have a degree as computer scientist, diploma engineer or similar. Alternatively you are self-taught with relevant work experience in IT

We anticipate that you possess some of the following competencies

• Experience with IT operations or system administration of Linux systems
• Experience implementing, automating and operating IT solutions.
• Knowledge of IP network concepts, including firewalls and virtual environments
• Knowledge of tools such as Ansible/Puppet, Git, SSH, certificates and Docker
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python and SQL
• Experience with GitLab, Elasticsearch, Zeek and FOSS
• Interest in cyber security

As an employee of FE you are covered by some special terms. It is a requirement that you can obtain security clearance and maintain the clearance throughout your employment. Like the rest of the Defence, you may be required to be deployed abroad at short notice if needed.

Your salary package depends on your qualifications

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the relevant trade union [This could be defined more clearly beforehand, within which collective agreement and at what level the position is to be filled, if this is clarified in advance], depending on your educational background. In addition, you have the opportunity to negotiate pay supplements based on qualifications. The average working time is 37 hours per week including paid lunch break. The position includes a pension scheme, which FE pays.
