Law-related adjuncts/lecturers for the Institute for Social Work Education

Are you a trained lawyer or cand.soc.jur. with practical experience from the social sector, and would you like to help train the next generation of social workers and influence the development of an education in change? Then you might be our new colleague.

At the Institute for Social Work Education at Copenhagen College of Professional Higher Education (KP) we are seeking engaged adjuncts or lecturers with legal knowledge and experience from the social sector to undertake teaching tasks as well as research and development tasks.

We are in the middle of an exciting change process. The new social work education calls for the development of new learning forms, professional coherence and progression, and a close connection to the practice field. Therefore we are looking for engaged colleagues with legal competencies and solid experience from the social sector who want to help shape the future social work education, and who are passionate about making a difference through teaching, development work and research.

About the job

You will become part of an engaged and interdisciplinary team consisting of teachers with backgrounds in social work, law, psychology and social science. Our primary tasks include the development and delivery of teaching, supervision, and conducting examinations.

The Institute for Social Work Education houses a strong and well-established research and development environment with a focus on practice-oriented and profession-targeted projects relevant for both the education and the social practice field.

In the job you will among other things

• Teach and supervise students and contribute to their academic and personal development
• Develop and test teaching methods, including differentiated teaching and workshop-based teaching, that strengthen the students’ learning
• Participate in research and development projects closely connected to practice and relevant for both the education and the social work field
• Contribute to further and continuing education, including diploma programs and practice-oriented courses targeting professionals
• Engage in close collegial collaboration in teaching teams and across the organization.

About you

We imagine that you

• Are a trained lawyer or cand.soc.jur. with practical experience from the social sector and an understanding of the profession’s conditions and complexity
• Have knowledge of the legislation that regulates social workers’ work in relation to employment, children and young people, and vulnerable adults
• Have teaching experience and/or are skilled at conveying professional knowledge in an engaging and accessible way
• Possess good relationship skills and are passionate about supporting and strengthening students’ professional development
• Have an interest in social work and a desire to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with colleagues
• Are structured and flexible with the ability to plan and prioritize in a busy and sometimes unpredictable daily life

We also welcome that you have knowledge of the terms of vocational education and are motivated to contribute to an education in rapid development.

Salary and terms of employment

You will be employed as adjunct or lecturer with start on January 1, 2027. Working hours are 37 hours per week.

Employment is in accordance with the applicable state sector collective agreement and based on Executive Order no. 414 of 27 April 2025 on the job structure for teachers at business academies, university colleges, etc. The specific collective agreement depends on your educational background and will as a rule take place under either the Academic Staff Collective Agreement or the Common Agreement for LC and CO10. There will be opportunities to negotiate qualification allowances.

If you are hired as adjunct, you will enter KP's lecturer qualification program .

Hiring as lecturer requires a positive lecturer evaluation according to the regulations on lecturer qualification, cf. Executive Order no. 413 of 27 April 2025.

If appointed as lecturer and evaluated as lecturer before the 2013-staffing structure, employment generally occurs at the previously centrally determined pay and employment conditions. Depending on the specific circumstances, a renewed lecturer evaluation under the current staffing structure (fast-track scheme) could possibly be agreed.
