About the job

Are you a lawyer with a desire to develop regulations and create solutions?

Do you want to work with law that makes a concrete difference for citizens and road safety in Denmark? And do you want to be involved in developing regulations and digital solutions in the driving licence area?

The Danish Road Traffic Authority is seeking 2 lawyers who are motivated by working at the intersection of law, digitisation and society.

About us

At the Danish Road Traffic Authority we work to ensure a high level of traffic and road safety on the roads. We are in constant development and in these years are implementing several major digitisation projects in the driving licence area.

You will become part of Team Rules and Education – a cross-disciplinary team of 18 dedicated colleagues, of whom 9 are lawyers. We work with a broad range of tasks, all related to driving licences: regulation issuance and interpretation, training of driving learners and driving instructors, as well as development and implementation of new solutions.

With us you will have ample opportunities to

  • Work with exciting and societally relevant legal issues
  • Contribute to the development of processes and workflows
  • Shape the solutions of the future in a central public authority.

Your tasks

Your tasks will be tailored to your experience and interests, but will typically include

  • Legal case handling, including e.g. access to documents
  • Preparation of notes, analyses, guidance and information material
  • Participation in cross-cutting projects and digitisation initiatives
  • Legal sparring across the driving licence area
  • Work with regulation projects and implementation of new rules
  • Ministerial and departmental servicing

About you

We imagine that you

  • Are educated cand.jur. (or about to become so)
  • Work in a structured and independent manner with complex legal issues
  • Convey law clearly and precisely – both in writing and orally in Danish and English
  • Thrive in a daily life with many varied tasks
  • Are a team player who values collaboration, including across professional disciplines
  • Contribute positively to an informal work environment with room for both professionalism and humor

It is advantageous if you also

  • Have experience with ministerial servicing and/or case processing
  • Have worked with digitisation and/or rule development
  • Have participated in development or implementation projects
  • Have experience from politically governed organisations

We offer

  • Skilled and engaged colleagues in a strong professional community
  • Meaningful tasks with great societal impact
  • Good opportunities for professional and personal development
  • Flexible frameworks and focus on work-life balance
  • An informal and inclusive working environment
