About the job

Are you motivated to make a difference for people in crisis and in vulnerable positions? Do you seek professional challenges where multidisciplinary collaboration is at the center? Then the position as contact person at Garvergården Crisis Center might be for you.

About Garvergården Crisis Center

Garvergården Crisis Center is a crisis center for singles and families in crisis, in accordance with the Social Service Act §§ 109 and 110. The target group includes both men and women and their accompanying children.

For both target groups, the issues are characterized by often being in a complicated, stuck situation where they cannot immediately solve their situation on their own, but can make their daily lives function with self-help or with light to moderate support.

Garvergården Crisis Center provides, in collaboration with the Social Administration and other relevant partners, a specialized, targeted and forward-looking social-work intervention aimed at establishing housing of one’s own.

The residents at Garvergården meet with relevant professional expertise, professional care, respect and curiosity. The social-work intervention is based on the resident’s needs and wishes and is documented through the development of an action plan.

The intervention creates safety, stability and trust and focuses on mastering everyday life. Furthermore, the goal is for the resident to actively participate in a change process and to gain confidence in their own capabilities and resources.

We are looking for you who

  • are socially educated, e.g., pedagogue, social worker, social facilitator
  • have experience with social-work tasks and people in vulnerable positions
  • are professionally grounded and professional in daily work with residents
  • have experience with targeted and structured conversations with adults and children
  • have experience documenting your work
  • are interested in and perhaps have experience with working narratively, based on psychosocial rehabilitation and Recovery
  • are willing to engage in multidisciplinary collaboration, where you contribute with a social-work overview and systematic thinking
  • want to contribute to the coherence of the organization and support the organization’s shared values
  • are empathetic, caring and motivating in contact with residents
  • have good communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • are keen to initiate and create good conditions for activities, social time and community for both adults and children
  • actively participate in professional development, sparring, supervision, training, etc.
  • have an eye for the coherence in the house – in relation to practical tasks, case coordination and residents’ acute needs
  • have a flexible, curious approach to new tasks and are willing to engage in practical and pedagogical work in the house
  • bring good humor to the workplace and contribute to the positive atmosphere in the house

In return we offer

  • an exciting and challenging job in a dynamic and committed organization
  • focus on skill development and opportunities for further education
  • a good working environment with experienced, skilled and engaged colleagues, where ethics, reflection and professional integrity are highly valued
  • a workplace where relational work and the possibility to make a difference for residents is central to daily life
  • an exciting and ever-changing daily life
  • a social-work team with eight dedicated, experienced and well-educated colleagues with pedagogical and social-work backgrounds
  • colleagues who are passionate about their task and focused on professional sparring and development
  • good provisions for collaborating with children and adults and contributing to creating structure and calm in daily life and development in their overall life situation
  • external supervision and good opportunities for continuing education
