Lær for Livet is seeking a student assistant 15 hours per week for our team “Children, Young People and Mentor Contact”, which works to connect children, young people, their adult supporters and to support the volunteer mentors in Lær for Livet.

Your primary function will be to support the work of the child and youth consultants in ensuring the participation of children and young people in Lær for Livet's activities.

As a student assistant you will become part of Lær for Livet's secretariat, where a dedicated team of experienced staff, student assistants and volunteers are ready to welcome you.

About the tasks

• Assist in matching children and young people with volunteer mentors.
• Documentation of children and young people’s participation, learning and well-being.
• Contact with volunteers and partners, e.g., follow-up on mentor relationships.
• Participation in events with children and young people and volunteers, e.g., camps and volunteer training.
• Other practical tasks in the Secretariat.

What do we expect?

• You are studying a relevant program at bachelor’s (professional) or master’s level.
• You have practical experience with working with children and young people.
• You have an interest in and preferably experience with volunteering.
• You work in a structured and organized way.
• You can work independently on tasks and are proactive in establishing contact with volunteers in Lær for Livet.
• You thrive in an organization where we help each other with big and small things.
• You are flexible regarding working hours, including occasional weekend and evening work, for example in connection with camps/volunteer events.
