About the job

Are you passionate about cattle breeding and reproduction, and motivated to achieve results together with the farmer? At VikingDanmark you get an independent daily work life, strong colleagues and the opportunity to translate your expertise into value for Danish cattle farmers.

We are seeking a professionally strong and business‑oriented cattle breeding advisor for large and medium-sized cattle farms in the southern/southeast Denmark. You will become an important sparring partner for the farmer and will be responsible for advising on and selling solutions within breeding, reproduction and VikingDanmark's other products and services.

Advising that creates value on the farm

Your main task is to understand the individual farm's needs and find solutions that strengthen the farmer's results. You build long-term customer relationships through professional guidance, presence and proactive outreach.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • Advise cattle farmers on breeding and reproduction – both on your own initiative and in response to customer inquiries.
  • Convey and sell VikingDanmark's products, advisory and service offerings based on the farm's needs.
  • Proactively follow up on targets and results together with the customer and the rest of the Viking team around the customer.
  • Prepare insemination plans that meet the farmer's requirements and wishes in close collaboration with the farm's Viking inseminator.
  • Plan and participate in relevant customer meetings and professional events.
  • Contribute to special tasks and specialist roles where your expertise comes into play.

You will have a varied daily life with close contact to both cattle farmers and colleagues. You work independently, but are part of a team that shares knowledge, provides sparring and takes joint responsibility for the customers.

The advisory team meets once a week at our headquarters in Aarhus for knowledge sharing and professional sparring about advisory services and sales.

You combine expertise with good relationships

You have a relevant education such as agronomist, agricultural technologist or the like. You may also have built your expertise through practical experience with cattle farming, advisory work and sales. We place great emphasis on both your experience and your personal qualities.

We expect that you

  • Have solid knowledge of cattle breeding and reproduction – and ideally a particular interest in Holstein.
  • Are outgoing, curious and good at building relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Thrive on proactive customer contact and see sales as a natural part of good advisory work.
  • Are motivated to create results for customers and achieve common goals with the team.
  • Work independently and in a structured manner and keep your appointments.
  • Communicate clearly and are comfortable with IT and digital tools.

With us, customers are also our members and owners. Therefore, understanding the farmer's everyday life and needs is central in everything we do.

Freedom with responsibility and a strong professional community

We offer an exciting job in an ambitious company owned by Danish cattle farmers. You get great influence on planning your workday and good opportunities to develop professionally and personally.

You will become part of a dedicated advisory team with shared responsibility for a customer group and a culture where helpfulness, collaboration and knowledge sharing fill daily life. Our structure is flat and informal, and we meet challenges with a down-to-earth and solution-oriented approach.

Workplace and start date

You will be attached to our headquarters at Agro Food Park 12, 8200 Aarhus N, and will serve customers in Southern Denmark. When dividing customers we will, as far as possible, take your residence and driving distance into account.

Salary is agreed based on qualifications.

We wish to fill the position as soon as possible.
