Bovine nerd keen to work with climate and feeding

At SEGES Innovation we are looking for a colleague who dares to lead and develop projects that create new knowledge and concrete solutions within feeding, nutrition and reducing the climate footprint of cattle production.

The goal is to connect research and trials with practice and thus ensure that new knowledge creates value in cattle farming. Innovation close to practice is SEGES Innovation's x-factor.

About the job

You will become part of a team of 14 engaged and highly educated “cattle nerds” who are passionate about cows and cattle production.

You will work with feeding and climate – for example new feedstuffs, feed additives and solutions that can reduce methane emissions from cattle production.

You will be both project manager and participant in development projects, where you work closely with colleagues, farmers, advisers and external partners. As a project manager you will be responsible for assembling the right expertise, ensuring progress and finances, and translating project results into solutions that can be used on Danish cattle farms.

You have insight into cattle feeding and physiology, and you should be keen to work with project management and an interest in solutions that reduce the climate footprint of cattle production.

In addition, it would be an advantage if you

• Know the connection between feeding, production, economy and climate
• Have experience in developing, leading and implementing interdisciplinary projects with many partners
• Have experience as an adviser, researcher, teacher or similar
• Can communicate professionally complex issues in an easy-to-understand language in both Danish and English.

Practical information

The workplace is essentially Agro Food Park in Skejby, but you should expect several days with herd visits, meetings, etc. across the country and possibly abroad.
