About the job

You will have the opportunity to put your entire legal toolkit to use in a agency that on a daily basis handles control, subsidies and regulation in the Danish fishing industry.

If you would like to work with a broad and exciting regulatory complex, where you come close to the industry, perhaps you are the one we need. We place importance on creating a balance between work and leisure and safeguarding a good collegial community, where we help each other and where our professional administration is in the foreground.

Your duties

As a lawyer in Marine and Fisheries Subsidies you will have the opportunity to shape your tasks within a wide range of political and legal tasks, including administrative law, EU law, international regulations, criminal law, state aid, de minimis and data protection.

You will join a team of 5 lawyers, which is part of the overall office of about 25 employees.

A central part of your work will be to have control over the legislation around the disbursement of funds, including the preparation of regulations and to ensure legal basis for the implementation of both national and EU funds. In addition you will help ensure compliance and sanction practices, where you will work at the crossroads of staff and administrative law.

You will work at the interface between the industry, research institutions, professional organizations, municipalities and the ministry, etc., where you will have good opportunities to develop and contribute with your legal competencies.

You will in this connection come to work with

  • Case handling of complex legal cases
  • Contribute to ministerial support and access to information
  • Participate in the work to implement the new political agreement and legal analyses in realization and implementation of the agreement
  • Legal advice and sparring internally and across the agency
  • In some of the legal cases you will work in close collaboration with the state attorney
  • Support the daily administration of subsidy schemes.

In particular we emphasize that there should be opportunities for good career paths and we focus on what intellectually challenges each employee. We emphasize that you become part of a strong legal professional environment across the agency.
