Chief Senior Dentist, Department of Maxillofacial Surgery, Odense University Hospital

We are seeking a skilled and motivating Chief Maxillofacial Surgeon who is eager for development, operation and leadership.

Together with the rest of the leadership team, you will have a key role in preparing the maxillofacial department ahead of its move to the upcoming Odense University Hospital.

It requires a leader who can lift their gaze and see opportunities in change.

You will be part of the department's leadership group together with the department management and the other functional managers.

As our Chief Maxillofacial Surgeon, you and the other maxillofacial surgeons will in daily practice report directly to the department management, with the chief dentist as direct reference. You will form a partnership with the department's Chief Nurse over the operation of the maxillofacial outpatient clinic and operating theatre and will handle the daily personnel management of the department's other dentists and specialist dentists.

About the Maxillofacial Department and OUH

The Maxillofacial Department handles diagnostics and treatment of congenital and acquired anomalies, traumatic lesions, infections and benign conditions in the dental, oral and maxillofacial region. The department also participates in a multidisciplinary collaboration for the treatment of malignant diseases in the oral and maxillofacial region. The department also conducts research, development and education within the specialty.

Our department consists of an outpatient clinic, an operating theatre with surgeries under LA and GA, and a unit at Heden 7, which houses a research unit, a 3D center and a secretariat. The Maxillofacial Department also has operational responsibility for the regional dental service.

The department has high patient satisfaction and high staff satisfaction.

Salary and employment terms

A approved education as a specialist dentist in dental, oral and maxillofacial surgery is required, and experience from a hospital setting.

The position is a full-time role with the possibility of participating in on-call duty and compensatory time off. It is expected that the applicant conducts a large part of their daily leadership through their clinical work.

Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement.

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of the base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension in the Dentist - Agreement 33.20.1. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
