Thorstrup Skole, Trane Skole & Børneby are seeking a teacher or an experienced substitute for a maternity leave position starting 15 January 2027.

Can you make mathematics come alive, create learning with your hands and get children on board with both movement and new discoveries? Do you have broad subject knowledge and a desire for a daily life with more subjects and different age groups? Then we would like to hear from you.

With us you will become part of a small school where we know each other, help each other and take shared responsibility for the children.

A daily life with multiple subjects in play

You will teach from 2nd to 6th grade at a school where we teach several year groups together. The majority of your hours are in the 32’ class – our 2nd and 3rd grade – and in 6th grade, where you work closely with a colleague.

Your teaching subjects will / can be

• Natur/teknologi
• Idræt

We are therefore looking for you who have a broad foundation in your approach to teaching and who want to connect the academic, practical and creative. You can create clear frames and find different paths into learning, so more children have the opportunity to succeed.

You will have close colleagues who are happy to share ideas, provide professional sparring and help to find solutions in everyday life.

The position is a maternity leave replacement at 90% of full time, corresponding to a 0.9-position.

You are a trained teacher or have solid experience with teaching. You meet children with warmth, clarity and curiosity and can see yourself in our shared starting point:

That means you are focused on understanding the children and creating the conditions that help them move forward. You have an eye for both the individual student and the class community and can adapt your teaching so that the students are met with appropriate challenges.

You contribute with commitment, good humor and a desire to collaborate. And you know that good teaching becomes even better when we develop it together.

Thorstrup Skole has 87 pupils from kindergarten to 6th grade and is located in a wonderful local community with strong parental support. There is a short distance between people here, and we mean it when we say: All children are our children.

Thorstrup Skole is part of Trane Skole & Børneby, which brings together school and child care services in Tistrup, Horne and Thorstrup. Your primary attachment will be in Thorstrup.
