Lifeguard for Fredericia Swimming Hall and Tropical Water Park - permanent full-time position

With us, the job as lifeguard is about more than safety at the edge of the pool. You help create security, good service and good experiences for the more than 50,000 guests who visit our swimming pool and water park each year – from families and casual swimmers to schools and associations.

You will become part of one of Denmark's largest sports centers, where collaboration is an important part of daily life. We work closely with the house's associations, café and reception as well as technicians, and together we ensure that guests have a good experience from the moment they step in the door until they go home.

We are also a house in development. We host, among other things, popular gus-events and other activities – and we are constantly looking for new ideas and opportunities to make the experience even better.

In short : We are looking for you who want to take responsibility, create security and a good atmosphere – and who want to help develop a swimming pool and a water park with plenty of life.

Your main tasks include

Pool lifeguards : Ensure safety is top for all our guests.

Customer service : Provide a good experience with a smile and friendly service.

Water treatment : Learn to monitor and maintain water quality.

Cleaning and maintenance : Help keep the facilities clean and well functioning.

Saunagus and other events : Be involved in delivering a good saunagus and other great experiences.

Lifesaving and first aid : Be ready to act if an emergency occurs.

Your profile

The entry to the job can be diverse, and your theoretical education is not decisive. However, it is a prerequisite that you have or can obtain a vocational lifeguard certificate.

As one of our outward-facing faces, you will naturally be one of the people guests turn to with wishes, questions and criticisms. Therefore it is important that you can handle potential complaints in a calm and professional manner and meet guests with understanding and respect. At the same time, you should be quality-conscious about cleaning and maintenance.

You must also be able to thrive with changing working hours – including weekends and public holidays.

Salary and employment terms

In accordance with the applicable collective agreement between KL and the negotiating organization.

A criminal record check will be obtained upon employment. Employment is conditional on the criminal record being without any notes of significance for performing the specific position.

Child certificate

In employment containing work with children and young people, a child certificate will be obtained. Employment is conditional on obtaining a child certificate without any notes.

Fredericia Municipality is a tobacco-free workplace.

It is a permanent position of 37 hours per week. The working hours operate on a 3-week cycle with rotating shifts, which also includes weekends and holidays.

Start date 1 December 2026 – possibility for an earlier start.
