About the job
Leader in Care and Rehabilitation, Health and Care Aarhus Municipality
Leader wanted for Team Skødstrup in Care and Rehabilitation, District North
Can your leadership make Aarhus Municipality the best place to be an older citizen?
Are you motivated by helping to support older homebound citizens to live as independently and meaningfully as possible, and offer citizens the very best rehabilitation, care and support? Are you a leader with strategic insight, the ability to align development and finances, and with the wellbeing of others and yourself in mind? Do you succeed as a leader by showing the way and making things work through others? And do you thrive with responsibility and ample opportunity to shape the framework yourself?
Then you may be exactly the leader we are looking for in the job as Leader in Care and Rehabilitation in District North for our team in Skødstrup.
In Health and Care we work from our strategy, the five guiding principles – and your leadership task is, among other things, to help translate these into concrete practice. We are also a politically steered organization and work based on the mayor's guidelines, which set the direction for our task solving and development.
About the position
You will become the leader of a multidisciplinary group. We place emphasis on hiring engaged social and health assistants, social and health care assistants, resource coordinators, occupational/physical therapists, nurses, as well as unskilled staff. In addition, there is a competency-developing nurse and a competency-developing occupational therapist or physiotherapist in the team, who are tasked with conducting systematic and ongoing competency development of the staff.
We place a very high value on professionalism, and on employees having the opportunity to develop continuously within the organization's core tasks.
Leadership where multidisciplinary coordination of task solving is a foundation is essential to your approach.
An important task is to create the best life for the citizen, where the citizen can live as independently as possible, and have the opportunity to live the life they want and have goals for. We therefore integrate rehabilitation and interdisciplinarity into all contexts.
The task in Care and Rehabilitation includes providing nursing, treatment, care, rehabilitation and training to homebound citizens, and creating good and coherent citizen journeys that are based on what is important for the citizen.
We place emphasis on good dialogue, culture and relationships, rehabilitation, care and competence development, based on data-driven leadership. Care and Rehabilitation also has a strong focus on continuous and systematic quality development of both professional, organizational and citizen-experienced quality.
Important efforts in Care and Rehabilitation are citizen education, welfare technology, collaboration with citizens' families/networks, civil society/local communities, and ensuring that the right competencies are present in each citizen's journey.
As a leader your most important daily collaborators are the citizens, the citizens' families/networks, employees, peer leaders and the practicing physicians. We seek a leader who both has a hands-on and clear leadership style and can provide direction for the staff in the team, as well as contribute to the strategic direction of the organization.
You will be the leader of a team of permanent staff in collaboration with a deputy leader. It is important that the team has a good multidisciplinary collaboration, works relationally, is accommodating and can help realize the intentions behind the Elderly Act and a forthcoming Health reform.
Furthermore you will collaborate across the Health and Care areas, and annual theme days, network meetings and leadership gatherings are held.
