Maternity leave cover as deputy for the Forensic Psychiatric Section P2 in Middelfart

Would you like to be part of a professionally strong forensic psychiatric ward, where you will both have the opportunity to use your nursing skills and help support the daily operations and development? Our deputy is on maternity leave - we are therefore seeking a nurse for a maternity leave position in Forensic Psychiatric Ward P2 in Middelfart.

We are looking for you who want to take part in the leadership role and be a visible and present collaborative partner for both staff, patients and the other management. You should want to lead, create an overview and contribute to our joint success with the core mission while staying close to clinical practice.

About the position

The position is a fixed-term maternity leave position of 37 hours per week with start on 1 November and expected duration until 1 October 2027.

As a deputy you will work closely with the Chief Nurse and the rest of the staff group. You will help support daily operations, ensure quality and coherence in task execution, and contribute to the continued development of the ward.

There will be clinical tasks associated with the position, and you should therefore have a desire to remain close to patients and nursing practice.

About Ward P2

Ward P2 is a closed forensic psychiatric ward with capacity for 14 patients, including one intensive patient. We receive patients with different mental disorders, often combined with substance use, and who have a legal measure or are awaiting one.

We work purposefully to prevent coercion, among other things through the Safewards method, and we work environmentally therapeutically with the interpersonal relationships. We focus on seeing the person behind the patient and creating the best conditions for the patient to develop.

P2 is a dynamic and busy ward with several ongoing development initiatives. We have a strong foundation for delivering nursing and developing professionalism.

We are a staff group with drive, humor and great willingness to be with the patients. We prioritize reflection in all shifts and work purposefully to find the best path together with the patients.

We also place great emphasis on close collaboration, where we are confident in each other – even when situations become complex or pressured.

As a deputy you will have the opportunity to

• Be close to daily operations and support the Chief Nurse in the leadership task

We are looking for you who

• Are a trained nurse – preferably with a specialisation in psychiatry
• Have experience from psychiatry and preferably experience with forensic psychiatry
• Have interest in or experience with leadership and coordination
• Can create overview and maintain calm, even when everyday life is unpredictable
• Communicate clearly and respectfully and have an eye for different perspectives
• Can work independently and at the same time be a strong team player
• Have good collaboration skills and can create trust and follow-through
• Are professionally curious and want to contribute to the ward’s development
• Have an eye for both staff wellbeing, patients’ needs and daily operations
• Can handle conflicts and complex situations in a calm and professional manner
• See the person and not only the patient and can naturally engage with relatives

The recruitment process will take place in two interviews. The first interview will focus on dialogue and mutual clarification, while the second interview will include a case that provides an opportunity to discuss concrete problems and approaches.

Salary and terms of employment

The Region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position as a nurse. You will be told the base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension in accordance with the collective agreement for the HealthCartel, no. 32.17.1. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications. The department hires only staff with a satisfactory criminal record, and a public criminal record check (10 years back) is obtained with consent.
