About the job

Would you like to take on a broad communications role in the Danish Maritime Authority? Do you have a strong command of written communication and a desire for six months with many different communications and press tasks? Then we may have the maternity leave cover for you.

In the Danish Maritime Authority, we are looking for a communications staff member who can help raise visibility of the agency's work and results externally – and at the same time contribute to internal communication across the organization.

You will be part of the Directorate Secretariat, where communication is one of many cross-cutting tasks. You will primarily work on translating our work and strategic initiatives for the Blue Denmark into understandable messages and stories on, for example, our website, LinkedIn and intranet, just as media handling will become a part of your daily work. The communications work is practical and versatile, and as a maternity leave cover you quickly gain responsibility for many different types of tasks.

Your tasks will include

  • administering and updating our website and intranet and working with content in our CMS
  • coordinating internal communications – e.g., news and other content for the intranet and information displays as well as internal campaigns
  • preparing and editing news, press releases and LinkedIn posts that showcase the Danish Maritime Authority's work and professionalism
  • receiving and handling inquiries from the press – by email and telephone
  • solving various ad hoc tasks – e.g., layout, survey work and sparring with colleagues on communications.

About you We imagine that you

  • have a relevant education – e.g., in communications
  • write clearly and precisely and easily convey complex material so that it becomes understandable
  • have experience with digital communications and are used to working in a CMS
  • work in a structured way, are good at following through on your tasks and thrive on collaborating with many different colleagues
  • are independent and take initiative – also when tasks arrive on short notice
  • are keen to tackle both large and small communications tasks and thrive with the fact that the job also includes operations and routine tasks

It is a plus if you have experience with communicating in a politically led organization.

About us The Danish Maritime Authority is part of the Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs and works to foster growth in the maritime industries and to ensure safety and health on clean seas. We have both national and international tasks and cooperate closely with the maritime industry.

You will be part of the Directorate Secretariat, which handles a range of cross-cutting tasks for the agency and the management. This also means you will gain contact with colleagues across the whole organization and come close to many different professional areas.

You will have a day-to-day with broad professional variation, a strong sense of camaraderie and an informal tone. We are based in modern premises in Korsør with a canteen and meeting center, and you will have flexibility in everyday life, including the possibility of remote work when tasks and the need for collegiality allow it, as well as influence on how you plan your tasks.

Information and application The position is a six-month maternity leave cover, with expected start on 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

This is a full-time position with employment under the prevailing agreement as a public administrator between AC and the Ministry of Finance or journalist agreement depending on your educational background.

Apply via the “Search for the position” button to the right of the advertisement or via our website at sfs.dk . Your application with CV and exam papers must be received no later than Sunday, 8 November 2026.

We expect to conduct interviews in weeks 46 and 47. There will be tests in the recruitment process.

You can obtain more information about the position by contacting the head of office Anders Elmose Jørgensen at telephone 41 95 30 81 or Jakob Saaby Lorenzen at telephone 91 37 61 60.
