About the job

We are looking for a skilled, experienced and dedicated advisor who is passionate about helping the most vulnerable on Frederiksberg to mobilize their resources, and who wants to join a strong professional environment. You will work independently and participate in the development of our efforts in the Homelessness and Vulnerable Team.

The Social Department is urgently seeking a maternity-cover for the Unit for Prevention and Clarification.

About the job

The forward-leaning effort is targeted at the homeless and vulnerable area, with contact to socially vulnerable adults, i.e. people with substance use problems, with mental vulnerability and other health problems.

In this position there will be a particular focus on SEL §109, including meetings at crisis centers for adults experiencing violence in close relationships as well as a coordinating counseling process in connection with relocation from a crisis center to own housing.

In the Social Department we work from a recovery-oriented rehabilitative approach, where the citizen's perspective, wishes and goals are in focus in the collaboration with the individual.

In the forward-leaning initiative, the social action plan pursuant to the Social Services Act § 141 is the focal point of the collaboration with the citizen. If there is a need to clarify other interventions, an assessment using the VUM method is used.

We focus on cross-sector collaboration and naturally have a close and good collaboration with shelters and the municipality's own services, housing-social staff, relatives and external partners in the vulnerable and psychiatric area. We place a consistent emphasis on having an inclusive and effective collaboration with the citizens.

As a forward-leaning caseworker you must be proactive and quickly establish contact with the citizen and coordinate a holistic and recovery-oriented effort based on the citizen's support needs.

People sleeping rough and homeless individuals can be difficult to motivate for change, therefore the job requires you to be insistent in contacting the citizens and to continually motivate change toward a more independent life.

You must thrive working independently and solving tasks in the field where the citizen is.

We are a workplace where there is always something new and where there is an ongoing need to adapt and develop our interventions and methods for the benefit of citizens.

Examples of concrete tasks

  • Advice and guidance to adults in vulnerable positions, e.g. homelessness, domestic violence, mental challenges and who have a reduced physical or mental functioning

  • Establishment of good collaboration relationships with citizens, relatives and shelters

You will be employed in The Unit for Prevention and Clarification , where there are 28 staff members and 1 manager. Your closest colleagues will be the 6 other advisors in the forward-leaning initiative.

We are looking for someone who

  • Wants to work with a broad target group of adults in vulnerable positions who have complex social problems. You should find it exciting to work with people who have dual diagnoses and people who in one way or another may be completely outside society's other services.
  • Is educated and has experience as a social worker or social facilitator.
  • Has knowledge of the target group
  • Works independently while also focusing on joint task-solving in the team
  • Is adaptable and able to maintain an overview in a sometimes hectic and unpredictable daily life
  • Enjoys working in an organization that is continually changing and developing
  • Wants to put your mark and contribute with new ideas and perspectives
  • Is professionally well-founded, engaged and able to reflect on one's own role in the work
  • Is respectful and acknowledging in your approach to citizens, relatives, colleagues and partners
  • Brings a good mood and energy

We offer

  • A workplace that emphasizes high professionalism and quality in the work
  • A team that solves and elevates together
  • Opportunity for professional sparring and knowledge sharing with colleagues, professional consultants and management
  • Varied tasks with high complexity
  • Opportunity to specialize
  • Flexible working hours and the possibility of working from home
