Who are we

As a PPR psychologist in Struer Municipality you will be anchored in PPR. PPR is part of Struer Municipality's Center for Children & Youth, which also consists of schools, day care, health visitor service, family treatment, family counseling and a staff function. The center brings together all municipal areas within children and youth 0-18 years and is anchored in the Welfare House, where all the municipality's welfare areas are located.

PPR consists of 14 employees; 8 PPR psychologists, 2 speech/hearing consultants, 2 occupational therapists and 2 absence consultants. We have a common base, but solve a large part of our tasks at the municipality's day care and schools. The department has high professionality, strong collegiality and an innovative approach to challenges and tasks.

The Center for Children and Youth is also characterized by a professionally strong and cross-disciplinary collaboration, where opportunities and solutions are created in close collaboration with other relevant colleagues and as close to the child's everyday life as possible. The work environment is characterized by inclusivity, creativity and good humor. We know each other and stand together for the good and qualitative task solution.

As a psychologist you will have the opportunity to participate in the common internal supervision in the psychology group. We also offer, if you are not yet authorized, a supervision agreement.

We are seeking

The course is set with a view to participation opportunities for all the municipality's children and youths through strengthening the children's communities. PPR has for some time worked towards a PPR closer to practice – closer to the reality that children, parents, teachers and pedagogues are part of and act in. As in many municipalities we also experience an increasing number of children and youths in distress as well as the number of children referred to specialized offers is rising. We stand with a large and important task that calls for new solutions and new perspectives.

We are seeking a colleague who will be part of our small, well-functioning department and who can recognize themselves in the above focus. We seek a psychologist with knowledge of and preferably experience from PPR work. Maybe you are a recent graduate, maybe you already have experience with counseling and guidance into the pedagogical and didactic reality.

Our new colleague should feel comfortable in the educational field, be a professionally strong sparring partner and at the same time dare to challenge constructively both the professional staff in day care and schools and colleagues in the overall children and youth area.

Since it is also a PPR task to perform pedagogical psychological assessments it is a prerequisite for applying for the position that you are a trained psychologist and can perform psychological assessments.

The person

The tasks assume that you are at once an independent and self-leading person, but also professionally conscious and oriented towards collaboration. You thrive in a daily life characterized by unpredictability, complex tasks and high demand and at the same time manage to maintain calm, overview and deliver solid task solving. You can work consultatively and process-oriented with focus on the task and possibilities and at the same time balance responsibility and loyalty in relation to the municipal organization and PPR's core task.
