Biomedical Technologists wanted for 2-year appointments in the OUH Area

Are you keen to try your hand at the medical technology field and at the same time help move the hospital into new premises? Then the Medical Technology workplace is for you!

The new OUH is the Region of Southern Denmark's new state-of-the-art university hospital spanning 247,000 m2. The hospital will have more than 10,000 rooms, including high-technology operating theatres, intensive care units, examination and treatment rooms, which must be supported with medical-technical equipment. The construction of The New OUH will bring together the current OUH, the Children and Young People’s Psychiatry as well as adult psychiatry with the University of Southern Denmark.

Medical Technology has a major role as sparring partner and advisor in connection with the establishment of all premises where medical-technical equipment is included.

We need medical technologists who can both support the current operations and assist with the procurement of new equipment for the new OUH, and participate in the move to the New OUH.

You will have a unique opportunity to work with the latest technology in medical-technical equipment and you will, together with skilled colleagues, be key players in the procurement, operation, optimization, relocation and implementation of complex medical-technical solutions that will ensure a robust and future-proof healthcare system.

The primary workplace for the positions is at OUH in Odense, but travel to OUH's other campuses may occur, including Svendborg, Nyborg and Ærø and OUH’s other campuses in Odense, therefore it is a condition that you have a driving license (B).

Functional areas

• The team handles ongoing repairs and planned, preventive maintenance of medical-technical equipment
• Performs registration, safety and acceptance checks as well as risk assessment of new apparatus before commissioning according to internal procedures
• The medical technologists in the team each have broad knowledge of clinical tasks and the supporting apparatus. There is close dialogue and sparring with the clinical staff
• Carry out small procurement tasks in consultation with the clinical staff
• Advising clinical staff in the use of the medical-technical apparatus, installation of equipment and contact with external suppliers
• Network connections, security updates and handling of integrations between the apparatus and IT systems

Your profile

• You can be trained in medical technology, electronics, automation or similar
• You have a good understanding of technology, electronics, IT and IT networks, and a desire to gain broad knowledge within medical-technical technologies
• You are service-minded, practically oriented and have the will to deliver results
• You can prioritise tasks in a busy, cross-disciplinary and varied daily life
• You have a sense of order, are meticulous and quality-conscious in your work
• You are an outgoing by nature, positive, proactive and a good team player, as we have close collaboration with the hospital staff

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement with the possibility of granting individual allowances.

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of base pay, centrally determined allowances and pension in the collective agreement for Craftsmen, installers, electronics technicians, etc. – collective agreement 32.23.1.
