Mechanic or blacksmith for technical maintenance

On behalf of Textilia, Randstad is seeking a skilled and practically oriented maintenance technician for the industrial laundry in Herning. Here textiles are produced and delivered to hotels and restaurants across the country, and to keep the machine fleet in top shape, we need you to ensure stable and efficient operation.

about the job and working hours

You will be part of a well-functioning technical team consisting of two technician colleagues and a maintenance manager. Together you are responsible for ensuring the production equipment always runs optimally.

The position is initially on a permanent day shift. Since Textilia serves the hotel and restaurant industry, there is however pressure on operations in the summer months. From the end of May to the beginning of September, there is an evening shift, and during this period you must be prepared to take evening shifts and, periodically, weekend shifts to cover.

The rest of the year the operation returns to the regular day shift. Your flexibility during the summer period will of course be rewarded with attractive allowances – and not least a great flexibility the other way when you need it.

your primary tasks

• Ongoing service and preventive maintenance of the production equipment.
• Troubleshooting and repair of urgent machine breakdowns so that operations are up and running again quickly.
• Participation in technical upgrades and improvement projects on the plant.
• Close collaboration with both internal colleagues and external specialists.

your profile

We imagine that you have a natural interest in mechanics and have your hands properly on the tools. You have likely an education as automation technician, mechanic, machine operator, blacksmith, plumber/ventilation technician or similar. Alternatively you are self-taught with solid and broad experience in maintenance of industrial machines.

• You have concrete experience with mechanical fault finding and repairs.
• You work systematically, are practically oriented and keep an overview – even when a machine is idle.
• You are a true team player who can work independently, but also thrive on lifting together.
• You are reliable and understand the importance of stepping in on evening and weekend shifts during the absolute peak season.
