Mechanic or welder for technical maintenance - evening shift

On behalf of Textilia we are seeking an experienced and practically oriented maintenance technician for the industrial laundry in Kolding. The department supplies textiles to hotels and restaurants across Denmark, and together with the rest of the technical team you will play a central role in ensuring stable, efficient and optimal operation of the production facilities.

about the working hours and your daily life

The position is on a fixed evening shift, where you will have a high degree of freedom with responsibility.

Working hours: Monday to Friday from 13:30 to 22:30.

Mutual flexibility: We believe that flexibility goes both ways, and we really want to accommodate each other. Therefore, when operations permit and after further agreement, it will be possible to leave earlier on Fridays or occasionally have Fridays completely free.

Note: Your basic training will take place on day shifts, so you will be best prepared to handle the tasks independently in the evening.

There will be the possibility to join day shifts in the period from December - February.

Your primary tasks

You will work with production equipment that includes both older and newer devices. Your tasks include, but are not limited to:

• ongoing service and preventive maintenance tasks.
• mechanical troubleshooting and repair of sudden breakdowns on the machines so that operation is quickly back up and running.
• participation in technical upgrades and improvement projects at the plant.
• close collaboration with both internal colleagues and external technical experts.

Your profile

Your educational background can be varied. We imagine that you have a journeyman’s certificate such as automation technician, electrician, mechanic, machinist, blacksmith or plumbing/heating engineer. Alternatively you are self-taught with solid and broad experience in maintenance of industrial machines.

Additionally we expect that you

• have concrete experience with mechanical fault finding and repairs.
• are pragmatic rather than perfectionist and can quickly gain overview and prioritize tasks – even when a machine is temporarily down.
• work systematically and in a structured manner.
• are a true team player who can work independently on your evening shifts, but who respects collaboration with the rest of the team.
• are reliable and prepared for occasional weekend work during holidays, absence and peak periods (high season in the summer).
