Mechanical traveling fitter for international assignments in the concrete industry

Do you have a metalworking background and experience with mechanical machines and process plants? Do you thrive with practical work, technical challenges, and customer contact – also internationally?

On behalf of Skako Concrete A/S in Faaborg, we are seeking an independent and technically strong mechanical fitter who will be part of a service team with international customers and projects.

Skako Concrete A/S is an international company within the concrete industry, experiencing increasing demand. Therefore they are looking for another colleague for service, maintenance, and installation of advanced machines and process plants for concrete production.

About the job

You will have a varied daily routine with service and maintenance of existing concrete plants and installation of new systems at international customers. You represent the company with the customers and must therefore have a professional approach to tasks and thrive with customer contact.

Your main tasks will be to

• plan and coordinate service trips
• perform service and maintenance on existing plants
• participate in installation and assembly of new plants as needed
• carry out fault finding and solve mechanical challenges at customers’ sites
• handle urgent service tasks and technical issues
• ensure good dialogue and service to customers.

You should expect around 140-160 days of travel per year , the majority of tasks located in Europe. The rest of the time can be spent recuperating or paid out.

About you

We are looking for a technically well-founded candidate with a craft or metalworking education – for example as a mechanic, metal worker, machine builder, or automation mechanic.

We imagine that you

• have experience with mechanical assembly, service, and maintenance
• have knowledge of automatic machines and process plants
• are familiar with MS Office at user level
• speak and write Danish and English. German is a benefit
• are prepared for extensive travel.

Experience from the concrete industry is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Your profile

As a person, you are independent, structured, and solution-oriented. You take responsibility, keep an overview, and thrive with customer contact and collaboration – even when the pace is high.

In addition, you are service-minded, flexible, approachable, and good at staying calm when unforeseen challenges arise.

You will be offered

You will become part of an international company within the concrete industry with a strong Danish foundation and an informal culture where collaboration, integrity, and helpfulness are in focus.

You will have good colleagues, opportunities for professional sparring, and a daily life with great variation where you get to work independently and develop your competences.

In addition, you will be offered

• an exciting position with international service tasks
• a workplace with good colleagues and short distance to the nearest manager
• salaries according to qualifications and experience
• employment under the Industry Agreement (including pension and flexible benefit account)
• health insurance

Start as soon as possible.
