About the job

In Nuclear Medicine, Aarhus University Hospital, a rare position as a radiographer at the department's PET/MR scanner is offered.

We are a department with an inspiring learning environment and with a distinctly positive, cross-disciplinary collaboration. This provides a high degree of quality, job satisfaction, and humor in daily work. Within the nuclear medicine field we work with clinically physiological investigations, functional nuclear medicine imaging diagnostics, and treatment across a wide range of diseases and organ systems.

The department has approximately 140 staff, with radiographers forming the largest professional group. In addition, the department comprises, among others, physicians, chemists, physicists, medical secretaries, radiographers, and electronic technicians. This creates a strong multidisciplinary environment around the department's clinical tasks, research, education, and development.

On the equipment side, in addition to the PET/MR scanner we have six PET/CT scanners, a number of SPECT/CT scanners and gamma cameras, as well as three cyclotrons and radiopharmacy laboratories for production of radioactive medicines. Annually, the department handles 17,000 patient contacts and performs around 33,000 examinations and treatments within a wide range of specialties.

We are a department in rapid development, whose examinations and research activities are increasingly in demand. Therefore, we are seeking an experienced MR radiographer with the willingness to try a new specialty and contribute to strengthening activities at our PET/MR scanner. You can expect thorough training aligned with your competencies. The position is generally full-time, shift-free, and with weekends and holidays free. However, you can expect periods with varying working hours depending on the nature and extent of projects. Expected start date is January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

We offer

  • a large research portfolio, where many projects are scanned on our PET/MR scanner
  • a large department with many wonderful and social colleagues who have a talent for smiles and laughter
  • a committed community in which personal learning and continuing education are in focus
  • a tradition that all professional groups participate in the department's project work
  • a comprehensive induction program tailored to qualifications and experience.

We expect that you

  • have radiographer education and practical experience with MR
  • are proactive and eager for new professional challenges
  • show initiative, work in a structured and systematic way, even when things are fast-paced
  • are a good team player with respect and understanding for multidisciplinary collaboration
  • have good IT skills and a desire to work with technical equipment.

Your tasks with us will be composed collectively based on your qualifications, but primarily it will involve performing PET/MR scans, as well as preparation and injection of patients with radioactive medicines. You are expected to participate in quality assurance of equipment, take responsibility for quality assurance, development, and documentation in relation to projects and clinical investigations. In addition, you are expected to participate to some extent in selected functions in the department's other operations.

Please feel free to drop by for a cup of coffee, a short tour, and an informal chat if the posting has aroused your curiosity. Contact our PET/MR team at tel. 2961 1128 or medical biochemist Christian Skyum Abildgaard Juhl at tel. 2325 5484.
