About the job

”When one dreams – it is a dream. When we dream together, it can become our new reality.” We are looking for a new, fantastic pedagogue for our nursery on 35 hours per week, from January 1, 2027 or by agreement.

Do you want to be part of a professionally proud house and co-create a good working environment, where we value participation and influence highly in the pedagogical work, then you are the one we are looking for.

At Prinsessehøj our view of children starts from the premise that all children have rights, competencies and are curious. We work to develop the children’s personal and social competencies through play, in an interaction between shared projects and activities in small groups.

We are ambitious about our professionalism and have the will to be the best versions of ourselves in interplay with children, parents and colleagues. Our focus is on the children and we feel a great responsibility for our core task “The good child life.” We are curious and want to develop ourselves together with the children. Here anything is possible, and we see opportunities rather than limitations.

Prinsessehøj – a nursery in beautiful surroundings

Prinsessehøj is an independently run institution, located in two houses, only separated by a beech hedge. The nursery consists of three rooms with about 12 children and three adults + a shared floater. We live in Virum, right by Sorgenfri S-station. Lyngby Lake is our huge wonderful backyard.

We have undergone a restructuring and total renovation over the past year, and have changed from being a house with functional rooms to now being more traditionally furnished. You will be a co-creator of this process, which we are still developing.

If you think it sounds attractive, please come and visit us, get a tour and a feel for us and the house.

A bit about you

  • You have warmth, smiles and energy for all the people you meet here.
  • You have an inclusive view of people and meet children and adults with curiosity.
  • You focus on what the children tell you, follow them and are flexible in meeting them.
  • You are always curious to spot the common third in the group of children and in the relation to them.
  • You share the view of the value of learning through play, traditions, repetitions and recognizability.

With us

  • We work in a room-structured setup and safeguard good collaboration across rooms and have a shared pedagogical approach to the task.
  • The professionalism is high.
  • We have many educators; you will not be left alone.
  • There is the possibility to have planning time built into your schedule.
  • We prioritize joint reflection and the adults’ different competencies highly. We believe that we can only do our work really well if we reflect on our practice together and involve as many perspectives as possible. Each week we have two 45-minute reflections; here we reflect from both child and adult perspectives on current initiatives and room meetings every two weeks.
  • You will be trusted to take responsibility in a dynamic everyday life.
  • We have a highly engaged parent group that actively participates in our parent events and cares a great deal about their children’s daily life.
  • We have a flat, but at the same time clear co-creating leadership profile, with a high level of involvement in decisions and dilemmas.

Employment terms

The position is 35 hours per week. This position starts on January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible.

In connection with the employment we obtain child protection and criminal record checks as well as references.
