Nature-loving SFO staff sought for Skørbæk-Ejdrup Free School

Skørbæk-Ejdrup Friskole seeks as of December 1, 2026 – or as soon as possible thereafter – someone who is passionate about nature and outdoor life for our children in the after-school care (SFO).

Who are we at Skørbæk-Ejdrup?

Skørbæk-Ejdrup consists of a Free School (friskole), SFO, nature kindergarten and nature nursery. With a basis in the Grundtvig-Kold spirit, we emphasize Creativity, Community, Natural life and Freedom, and we continuously work to implement these values in daily life across all departments. We have a close collaboration across the entire premises, including between the school and the SFO.

The committed community at Skørbæk-Ejdrup is the culturally carrying element that connects us as people, and we believe that an important approach to students’ wellbeing and learning is through relationships. The same goes for good parent cooperation, which we know strengthens our joint efforts to create participation opportunities in the community for the children.

In the SFO we have 55 wonderful children from kindergarten class to end of 3rd grade. They like to play outside and inside, to play football, climb trees, light fires, build things and ride mooncars. Inside, the children play board games and spend a lot of time executing their creative ideas, using materials from all over the world, from beads and Lego to cardboard tubes and recycled items. In the breaks you will also meet your colleagues Mette, a pedagogue, and Casper, who is also a pedagogue and coordinator.

We are located in scenic natural surroundings, and there is great potential to develop outdoor life and activities for the children, with nature as the playground.

With us, there is not far from idea to action, and we plant and build across the premises – often together with our parent community. Students and parents help with the building and renovation for our work evenings – and here you may also be asked to paint a wall or other practical tasks. 😊 We have shelters and fire pits, fruit trees and a kitchen garden, forest and football pitches - and plenty of room for new ideas.

The position is currently 20 hours per week in the SFO, with good opportunities for substitute hours in the Free School, the kindergarten and the nursery.
