About the job
We know it can be a bit of a handful to write an application – therefore we do it a little differently. Are you a nurse with an interest in children and adolescents? Then call and book your job interview with us.
If you are curious about the position, you can skip the application and call us directly to book a job interview.
Yes, you read that right – you do not need to send an application to come to a job interview with us before you have the job.
Do you recognise yourself in the values below? Then do not hesitate to telephone Chief Nurse Channie Brorly at +45 61 61 56 39, on weekdays between 08:00–16:00
For the job interview, you will have the opportunity to tell about yourself, your professionalism and what you can contribute. We will of course also tell you more about the job, the ward and everyday life with us.
Would you be the nurse who creates calm, hope and development for children and adolescents when life is difficult?
At the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Southern Denmark's 24-hour ward in Aabenraa, we meet children and adolescents with symptoms or diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, OCD, psychoses, mania, autism spectrum disorders and severe emotional crises.
When patients are admitted to our ward, they are admitted for either respite admission, an observation admission or as part of a diagnostic and treatment process in collaboration with the outpatient clinics.
It requires high professional competence. But above all, it requires presence, curiosity and the ability to establish relationships.
With us you become part of a community
We believe that the best solutions are created together. Therefore we prioritise a working environment where we help each other, share our knowledge and always have the opportunity for sparring.
You will become part of a multidisciplinary team with nurses, social and healthcare assistants, pedagogues, doctors, psychologists, social workers and therapists, who work closely together to create the best pathways for patients and their families.
We want you to succeed
When you start with us, you will receive a thorough introduction so you get to know the ward, the patient group and your colleagues well.
We prioritise ongoing professional development through teaching, supervision, reflection and competence development. If you have special interests or desires to specialise, we would like to help develop them.
We believe that skilled employees become even more skilled when they experience trust, influence and the opportunity to shape the development.
Who are you?
- You are a trained nurse with Danish authorization – perhaps with experience from psychiatry, perhaps from a completely different specialty.
- You meet people with presence and recognition.
- You thrive in multidisciplinary collaboration.
- You want to develop yourself professionally.
- You contribute positively to the community.
- You dare to be yourself.
With us you get, among other things
- a strong collegial community where we take care of each other
- a workplace with high professionalism and extensive psychiatric specialization
- thorough introduction and close sparring – including a mentorship program
- supervision and ongoing competence development
- an opportunity to influence the development of the ward
- flexible shift planning with two-shift patterns, and weekend work every 2nd or 3rd weekend in an 8-hour shift
- focus on balance between work life and private life
- a everyday life where humour, presence, recognition and care are also part of the culture
A greeting from the Chief Nurse
"I believe that the best pathways for the ward's children and adolescents begin with employees who thrive. Therefore it is important to me that you experience a working life with high professionalism, good colleagues and room to be human.
Of course, we must be able to solve the complex tasks together – but we must also be able to go home with peace of mind and energy for those who wait for us at home. A good working life is not about running the fastest or staying the longest. It is about being part of a community where we help each other, develop together and create the best framework for both patients and employees.
I hope you will experience our ward as a place where you are met with trust, given the opportunity to use your strengths and feel that your well-being is as important as your professional skills. Because when we take good care of each other, we can also take good care of the children, adolescents and families who need us most."
