About the job
Would you like to use your nursing expertise in a strong interdisciplinary community and help shape a new regional health offering close to citizens' lives and daily routines?
At the Health and Care Placements you meet people who for a period need healthcare treatment, care and rehabilitation.
We are a department under development, and you will therefore have plenty of opportunity to make your mark on workflows, professionalism and collaboration in the department.
You will be part of something new
Citizen-Centered Health (Borgernær Sundhed) is a new department at Odense University Hospital, which will strengthen the close health services and bring treatment, care and rehabilitation health services of high quality closer to citizens' daily lives.
From January 1, 2027, Borgernær Sundhed takes over responsibility for the health and care placements on Langeland. Here an offering with 8 beds is established. The goal is to help the citizen return to everyday life as best as possible through dignified, coherent and professionally strong pathways.
Your role as a nurse
You will become part of an interdisciplinary work community with nurses, social- and health care assistants and aides, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and the doctors attached to the Health and Care Placements.
As a nurse you will have a varied daily life with both independent responsibility, coordinating tasks and close professional sparring.
Your tasks
You will, among other things, come to
- conduct nursing assessments, evaluations and follow-up in citizen care pathways
- observe, assess and respond to changes in the citizen's health status
- perform instrumental nursing care including IV treatment
- administer medications, ensure correct medication handling and follow up on medical treatment
- provide holistic care closely aligned with the core task
- create security and coherence for the citizen and their relatives – and ensure good communication
- coordinate and collaborate with both internal and external partners about the citizen's overall course
- actively contribute to professional development, quality and patient safety
- help develop relevant workflows and nursing standards in the new organization.
To succeed in the position it is essential that you thrive with both assessment and action on acutely arising conditions as well as managing complex nursing in longer pathways with a rehabilitative focus.
We imagine that you
are a trained nurse and motivated to work with citizens who require both clinical insight, rehabilitative thinking and close coordination.
We emphasize that you
- are curious and eager to develop yourself
- work independently and at the same time thrive in a multidisciplinary work community
- meet citizens and relatives with respect, calm and presence
- see rehabilitation as a natural part of care and treatment
- contribute constructively to collaboration and teamwork
- thrive in an organization under development, where not all workflows are predefined.
With us you get
- an opportunity to use and develop your nursing competencies
- close professional sparring across disciplines
- a daily focus on quality, development and patient safety
- an individually tailored onboarding program
- a workplace where we help each other and actively use each other's different professional skills.
