About the job
When one of our nurses has sought new challenges, there will be a permanent position available as of 1.1.27 or by agreement.
The position is 37 hours/week with mixed shifts, every 3rd weekend, either day/evening or day/night.
Who are we? In the Department of Brain and Nerve Diseases we have 17 inpatient beds, and our largest patient group is stroke patients. In addition we also have a wide range of other neurological diseases including cerebral tumor, epilepsy, Parkinson's, headaches, multiple sclerosis and dementia. Patients are in all age groups, and the average length of stay is 5 days.
We have a large pre- and post-treatment outpatient clinic, where patients within the mentioned subspecialties are seen with about 22,000 annual contacts. In connection with the outpatient part, we have a research unit, which primarily has projects in multiple sclerosis and headache. Here you will meet nursing colleagues who work across the inpatient ward, the outpatient clinic, and the research part.
On the Department of Brain and Nerve Diseases, professionalism, collaboration, communication and coordination go hand in hand. The core task is to create good, safe patient pathways.
If we may say so ourselves, Brain and nerve diseases is a fantastic specialty where you will experience endless great development opportunities. You will acquire competencies in basic nursing, but also the more specialized and instrumental nursing for the acute/complex neurological patient. The quality of our patient pathways relies on close multidisciplinary collaboration.
Therefore we place a high emphasis on functional multidisciplinary collaboration among, among others, physicians, nursing staff, occupational and physiotherapists, and speech therapists, as this is an essential prerequisite for successful patient pathways. 3 times a week (Monday-Wednesday-Friday) we hold a board meeting, where with a joint effort and awareness of each other’s professionalities and competencies, we shall ensure that patients receive the right offers such as rehabilitation.
We want colleagues who
