Nurse for the Operating Room, Anesthesia and Intensive Care, Esbjerg-Grindsted Hospital

We are seeking two nurses. One for our team responsible for parenchymal surgery, urology, plastic surgery and gynecology/obstetrics and one for our team responsible for orthopedic surgery and ENT surgery.

In the hospital's operating department, both acute and elective operations within the above specialties are performed.

During daytime you work in your own specialty area. In the shifts two on-call slots are staffed, where there may be a need to assist across specialties.

You will become part of a staff group of just over 60 nurses. The training period with us is about 5 months in daytime shifts. After this period you will be introduced to evening shifts and daytime shifts on weekends and later shifts from 17:10-07:30. In the parenchymal surgical team there is the possibility to be free of on-call for longer periods.

In the training period you will be allocated 2 mentors who support you in your training. Our clinical nursing specialist arranges the program for you so you go through our competency framework. The work schedule is planned for 6 weeks at a time. For flexibility and work environment reasons you have the opportunity to submit preferences.

We expect that you

• Have a flair for technical equipment and devices
• Preferably have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a nurse
• Will contribute to placing operating room nursing at the forefront, embrace specialized tasks in a high-tech field, and plan and provide care and individualized nursing
• Have a good mood in a fast-paced daily life
• Manage a busy daily routine and contribute with energy and a positive attitude
• Show flexibility and responsibility, and have an appreciative approach to patients and colleagues
• See a positive challenge in working with development and optimization of workflows
